Recruiting Football Talk VIII

FF is a cesspool
Glad most of them have left this forum. This place was just like it Saturday night and Sunday. Ignore feature is your friend
There was one team that said they knew what we were doing by how we lined up.

We ran same 5 plays all season (being dramatic), but was def same base looks. So that's not a surprise. Let's be honest here. Georgia was ready for us, had come off a big loss, and was at home. We were going to have to play out of our minds to win.

We actually played very well 1st half, then our pants got pulled down, and ears boxed.

Arkansas was inexcusable.

OSU we got outclassed in every phase.
I hate blaming coaches but it does seem like Heupel misses Golesh and elite teams have learned how to slow down our system. Elite defensive coordinators are smart and copy each other when they see somebody be successful. I just don’t know if it’s coaching or talent. Hooker was just so good at processing and making the right decision and quick throw that I tend to think he would still be putting up crazy numbers. Let’s face it Joe and Nico aren’t close to Hookers level. Nico is still young so maybe he can get there but he’s got to take a massive step. You can definitely see the potential in Nico though.

The problem is, it was either this or the NCAA was going to hit us with lack of institutional control across the big three in the most heinous overplayed and vindictive move in their crooked history. Meanwhile covering for Michigan and Bama and countless others. The NCAA focused all its energy on playing favorites, and ignored the widely publicized developments that led to NIL. I still shudder to think of the NCAA with power to approve and disapprove deals and advance knowledge of every offer, which they are seeking iirc.

Merry Christmas bois! Big old gift sitting under the tree from Uncle Rick says don’t open until March….,cain’t hardly wait...

Either way, its a Holiday. Some would argue its the biggest holiday. Time for people to be with families. I think the World would go on if an arcade was closed on Xmas, so workers could be with family.
As a individual who was in Management at Denny's for 25 years I completely agree with you. Numerous times on Christmas Day I mumbled to myself"when the hell did families quit eating at home on Christmas" 😳😳😳

As I get a little older I look back at times when I was having a problem I couldn't see a way to fix. There were times I thought I tried everything, but just reached a dead end and figured it was simply out of my hands. Then, out of nowhere, an answer lands in my lap and I would say, "I can't believe it was that easy." I've experienced my fair share of true miracles, enough to know there is someone or something besides us in control of things. I'm in the middle of one of the biggest challenges I've ever faced, but I know there will be an answer if I just keep going forward.

Today and everyday I am thankful for all I have and have been given. I appreciate each of you, even the ones on ignore, 😂. Thank God for all I've seen, and all I have.

Love you all, Merry Christmas, Go Vols!

It was a good year, if we build on it. I’ve settled on that take.
I still think the beatdown can be a great thing if it forces CJH to get uncomfy and make some tough decisions/changes. It’s hard to see the competitor in him not using this as fuel to improve. Excited to see what we look like next season.

52, please dont take this as condescension.

I always worked in Christmas so others could be with families. Service and retail for over a decade. Ive been on both sides. I get it, people dont want to cook. People have to take care of them.

Working service at Christmas as an adult. would suck. But an arcade?

Sorta like heads you win, tails I lose 🤷‍♂️They will never get the ability to approve or deny the deals. Basically we are now reaping years of incompetence and corrupt leadership by the NCAA. We also have some Napoleon complex conference commissioners that just want to be in control and really could care less about what is best for the entire landscape of college athletics. Follow the $$$$$$$.
