Recruiting Forum 90 Day Weight Loss Thread

Drink a black coffee. That’s what I do when I’m getting hungry and the caffeine helps. You can have water, tea or black coffee while fasting.

Exactly how I start my day. 8am I brew my black coffee. I pour up a 24 oz water and mix in apple cider vinegar and lemon juice. ACV and lemon are fantastic for regulating hunger.

I make a protein shake that includes skim milk, protein powder, and then either PB2, a banana, and/or some coffee. Keeps things fresh in the morning because that right there is multiple flavors. Keeps me filled and lower than 300-350 for breakfast. Keeping the caloric intake to around 500-600 calories for lunch allows me around 800-900 for dinner.

I've made my own version of the Moe's earmuffs with >50 g of protein and all the good fixin's. I also use a lot of broccoli and cauliflower rice.

Healthy AF. You're definitely going to make it.

I just wandered in here so not entirely sure what has been covered but with keto and intermittent fasting I've averaged losing 1.7lb a week for the last 9 weeks.

Keto and IF is the ultimate redpill. I dropped a ton of weight with that exact plan. Today I've had a steak salad and guacamole for lunch, a salad with grilled chicken for dinner alongside cheese stuffed mushrooms, and I've been eating pistachios and macadamias all day for that healthy monounsaturated fat. Pretty healthy and keto considering I'm eating out all day since I'm traveling

Fasting & Calorie Counting boyz...

Granted if you try to eat clean it makes the calorie counting easier for sure. My biggest problem is with most things I get bored of the same thing so I'm always trying to eat different stuff. The people who turn food into fuel only seem to have the best success at fitness that's sustainable.

Really wish I had a legit juice bar near work, that'd make things a bit easier. Grab one for lunch and keep it under 500 calories and that be that.

Here's a great video with a ton of variety in foods from all 3 macro groups that you can have for breakfast, lunch, and dinner:

Just wanted to say that I have been fasting since yesterday at 7:30pm.
Black coffee helped me make it through the morning.
Chewing gum has helped this afternoon.
I’m looking forward to breaking the fast this evening but have to watch it that I don’t celebrate by eating so much or so poorly that it defeats the purpose of being hungry for the last 24 hrs.

Any suggestions for a breaking the fast evening meal that a guy can whip up? (My wife is eating out with friends this evening and it will be me and the kids).

That's a great question. Stay away from foods with lots of fiber. Your stomach will be empty so there will be disturbances in your GI with too much roughage. Beans, lentils, and broccoli are normally awesome, but not to break a fast.

Bone broth is probably my #1 goto to break a fast. Good calories, readily absorbable, very gentle on the digestive system. Potatoes, of the white and sweet variety, are both great choices. They're relatively low impact on the GI. Avocados are amazing. Literally a super food, taste awesome (dat mouth feel tho), and incredibly nutritious. Spinach and kale definitely. Even taking just a couple tablespoons of MCT oil or flaxseed oil (Omega 3s for fat loss) is I'll that I need and I'll be good for several more hours.

So far portion control and water intake are my biggest allies.

I'm not eating just outright bad, but I've not been super clean this week either.

I haven't been perfect this week at all. My aunt was visiting from Memphis and my great uncle from Lexington so I wasnt going to be a biatch about what we ate since I never see them. So far this month I've clocked in 4 hours and 53 minutes of workout time and burned 2,786 cals (apple watch).
