He stated the decision to fire him has already been made. If we lose to vandy then he's fired next Monday if we win out he'll be fired after uk. He's fired regardless so why not do it this week?
There is an art in coaching of closing and finishing off a game. Dooley has never learned how to do that. He just does a horrible job of managing end game situations and clock management. I was in his his corner until today. It was poor decision and poor adjustments all second half long. You could see that he just does not have the feel.

...........Move to Bama and live for 30 years and get back with me.
Its pretty pathetic when the only thing some fans have left is for Bama to lose to another team. I know some UT fans are embarrassed by others. The focus should be finding out why UT is going backwards.
and thats my point about him emphasizing that he wouldnt slow down the offense to help keep the D off the field.
the job of the head coach is facilitate and to put the team in best position to win. for 5 previous SEC games, this fast paced offense is only scoring but not winning.
when the passing attack bogs down, its quick 3 and outs. with little time off the clock.
I'm actually done talking about him.
He is no longer worth the effort.
Lets hope to get some Dubs and get to a bowl and hopefully have a new coach in place for bowl practice.
:crossfingers:

Game shouldn't have surprised anyone. I'm cheering for the Tennessee Vols. Other than that I'm waiting on my new coach. That guy that lost to Mizzou is the worst UT coach in the school's history. I'm ready to hopefully beat Vandy and Kentucky now. I've been done with that idiot coach for weeks now so today didn't hurt as bad as past years. But losing to Mizzou is just laughable these days. University of Tennessee has been made to look like try hards. Got to be kidding me.
And RM20 coming on here running his mouth is crazy. I warned him about a loss, and now he says we're glorifying Bama losing. Worst part about that game is Sumlin should be coaching the Vols right now but you know we wanted a damn lawyer instead of a fxckin football coach.
Same here. It's been obvious for several weeks now that CDD is not a football coach.
I think he will end up with an AD job somewhere else, hopefully fairly soon.
Good call on the Bama upset, BB. I don't understand why A&M could exploit their secondary and Bray & company could not.

Manziels mobility and being able to extend plays killed bama.
They ran a sliding pocket back shoulder throw at least 6times.
I don't think bray is athletic enough to run those plays
Slowing down the offense in the 3rd quarter is what hurt us. Dooley and Chaney effectively turned the keys to the offense off and we could not restart the car when we needed the offense in the 4th quarter.and thats my point about him emphasizing that he wouldnt slow down the offense to help keep the D off the field.

Bootlegs are generally run as a misdirection play and as a way to protect the QB. In the process, you cut off half the field , so your options are limited. We don't ever run any bootlegs or rollouts with Bray. If he was more athletic, there would be more that you could do in the offense in terms of playcalling.
Is the offense really the problem? Just as a third party to this...this is what I see.
Points given up and to SEC opponent

UT's D has to get significantly better or it's like a one legged man in an ass kicking contest. The O just needs a little more balance.
I think our O has some play calling issues in certain situations, but you're right, the O is not the issue.

A blind man could call plays for Tennessee and have a lot of success with all the weapons we have. Jim Chaney has repeatedly screwed the pooch when we've needed good calls at crucial moments throughout his entire tenure at Tennessee. He is every bit as culpable for our demise as Sunseri and Dooley. Chaney's calls when we were up 28-21 with about 5 minutes left and only needed to milk the clock and win the game are among the worst of any OC, ever.

A&M's defense bucked up when it had to. They were flying to the ball,,knocked Lacy out of the game, moved McAaron out of the pocket. Manzeil had a heck of a game and so did their defense. 4 quarters of O & D putting it all on the line = WIN.
I will not talk UT football today.
