kevin sumlin says hello.

With the right hire we'll see. Texas A&M doesn't look bad under a first year coach. Neither did Michigan last year, it can be done don't know what you're looking at. As long as that O-line doesn't leave we'll be strong on offenste. The defense will be better because it can't get worse.

We'll see, but even Saban struggled mightily his first year at Bama. Never easy for first year SEC coaches, but I understand what you're getting at.

Does anyone else think there may be a possibility that conference expansion may not be over? Even if the sec doesn't expand, is there a possibility we could go to a nine game conf schedule forcing UT to cancel the Oregon game?

Even with that, new systems, new starting QB, no real leaders still, will not lend itself to more wins. No way, no matter who is coach, we get past 8 wins, with a bowl game. Of course, I'll take 8 wins, and I'm sure there is a possibility for more, but I'm thinking more realistically here.

8 wins won't be necessary for us to have a better record.

Manziel has unique skill, kind of Doug Flutie-like. He can be defended actually quite easily if you have the athletes, as Florida made adjustments at half-time, LSU made MAJOR adjustments after the first quarter. LSU went to the 3-4 which I don't remember ever seeing them do before, and 2 of the 3 DL would be LBs in Bama's system... Mingo and Montgomery. Then they brought either 1-2 Nickel backs in for the rush will the DL played the lanes for escape.

Bama was unwilling or unable to adjust, even though they only gave up 9 after the first quarter, they could never really stop them.

That is why I said last week on this board I thought Bama would have a hard time with Oregon if it came down to that. Manziel is good player and had a great smart game. The SEC teams will adjust to TAM's style and by next year it will be tough for them to get out to those early leads.

I agree that teams will adjust next year.. This was their best year to make noise because it caught teams off guard. I dont think Bama would have as hard a time with Oregon only because Saban would have a month to prepare unlike A&M. Actually Bama adjusted well, almost half of A&Ms total yards came in the 1st quarter. Bama's OC called an awful game. Yeldon and Lacy didnt have 30 carries combined and that doesnt make sense at all when you have a game manager at QB. Manziel just made some amazing plays when things broke down. Sunseri is just a liabilty in coverage, period.

Game shouldn't have surprised anyone. I'm cheering for the Tennessee Vols. Other than that I'm waiting on my new coach. That guy that lost to Mizzou is the worst UT coach in the school's history. I'm ready to hopefully beat Vandy and Kentucky now. I've been done with that idiot coach for weeks now so today didn't hurt as bad as past years. But losing to Mizzou is just laughable these days. University of Tennessee has been made to look like try hards. Got to be kidding me.

And RM20 coming on here running his mouth is crazy. I warned him about a loss, and now he says we're glorifying Bama losing. Worst part about that game is Sumlin should be coaching the Vols right now but you know we wanted a damn lawyer instead of a fxckin football coach.

They were some fans glorifying the loss. I commented on it but I care less, its no surprise. You have been calling Bama to lose since the Tenn game so congrats. U finally got one right.

I was hoping UT could've somehow got an early 14 pt or so lead vs bama this year to see how they would respond to playing from behind like yesterday.

I called LSU and aTm. You act as if I was far off on either.

Also that aTm team will make even more noise next year. Manziel is a young QB. It's the players first year under Sumlin. He'll get even more athletes in under him. Don't know why people think the SEC will all of sudden stop them. This is a very good football coach that beat Saban with much less overall talent top to bottom. Sumlin will be a rockstar as a football coach. LSU and Florida just have faster/better defenses so they could stop the spread better. Saban wouldn't stop Oregon either. He needs his younger players to step up quickly in the secondary(needs more athletes on the back end). Guys like Sunseri and Nick Perry would be exploited. Also Nico Johnson's pass coverage liabilities would be exposed.

Look on the bright side... your Sunseri has cost you far less than ours has us. And I mean that in every sense of the word.

Someone asked if Dooley was being let go today...

Hubb's response...

That's being floated around this afternoon. I have no confirmation of that at all. But that rumor going around.

As we have said it's a matter of when not if. The entire staff is in the office today.

On a positive note, with the right hire kids like Bell and Ramsey could come back in to play.

That would be great. We certainly need all the help we can get in the secondary. Moore yesterday was just awful. Coleman didn't have a good game either even though I know hes at least got potential to be good.

Coleman should've been benched some yesterday. Gray and Bonner should've been put in some to see what happens.
