Well.... I think part of what made Penny so attractive was the belief that he could deliver the future #1 pick to Memphis.

Let’s not be naive here.

But yes I agree with you. This smacks of retribution on the NCAA’s part.

And at the very LEAST making him retract the statement.

Well right, Memphis hired him because he could deliver those recruits. BUT, I think it’s possible he made this payment to Wiseman with no assumption he’d be leaving the Memphis East job any time soon.

I know he was always rumored to be the next guy for the Tigers but I don’t think he could’ve known that was a lock. He just wanted Wiseman on his high school team.

Yes. He wanted to win a State Championship at East, and knew the best way to get that done was to get James Wiseman to Memphis and on his basketball team.

Maurkice Pouncey was in that scrum and wouldn’t have been trying to stomp Garrett to hell if that had been uttered. It’s a default today when you do something out of character and utterly wrong...allege racism.

If Uros is practicing with the team, I'm sure Kent saw the writing on the wall. There appears to be a bunch of athletes on this team with length and he probably was getting buried on the depth chart.

That lawsuit would go nowhere. He would accomplish more by flatly denying the allegation. No one will believe Myles Garrett anyways. Best to let Myles Garrett do Myles Garrett and steer clear.

Who is advising Myles Garrett? I even think Rudolph should be suspended for his actions but whoever is advising Garrett should take a step back. The only thing that would make this worse is throwing out this allegation and it being not true. For him the NFL has Rudolph mic’d up and reviewed the sounds and found no such evidence of this. It just went from bad to worse cause now he’s a race baiting liar as well. I think it’s telling that his teammates were distancing themselves from him and the allegation today
