almost all of the guys that Pruitt coached who went to the NFL would have gone even if I coached them. obviously, not every 4 and 5* makes it but the odds are high.

Again, there is no development going on at UGA, or scheming. 5 star OL and 5 star backs and could only muster 61 yards against LSU.
Bama has regressed.....they've got talent on offense, but that defense is not the Bama defense of years past. We got more production out of our defensive freshmen than they did.

Coley didn’t struggle because he was new, he struggled because he’s a bad OC. His offenses at Miami got worse every year he was there.

Yeah the argument about the quality of our class was fun to read, if you like chaos, and I do.

The truth is, like every class, we won't know how good it is or isn't until 3 years from now.

I think people focusing too much on ones we lost or specific positions and then talking as in it’s the whole class. Saying this whole class is meh is incorrect as there are several guys that will
Contribute and fit this system and attitude the staff wants to instill as the foundation. Their are positions specifically OLB that I think cause this omg this class sucks thought.

QB - Bailey is elite prospect

RB - Hodge/Small - not great on paper but 2 Solid players at a position known to easily see 3 stars overachieve

WR- didn’t land the so called Elite ranked guy in Rakim but if you sign Callaway, Hyatt and Holiday that’s 3 big time athletes with hella speed that we don’t have at the position. Very underrated group.

TE - nobody at moment - Washington would make this easy answer but also not end of world if we don’t sign a TE with Brown and Lowe redshirting this past yr.

OL - no 5 star name but Mays/Robinson/Kyree/Spraggins each play with a mean toughness that will help this team down the road.

DL - Bailey/Thomas/Baron is a nice haul to add to the talent that was developed this yr

OLB - scary unless Baron can play here, land Joseph and Coleman then you have a few guys to work with. French is a possibility to play OLB as well. I think Whitehead could be an OLB and should play Lb if he signs.

ILB - Eason/French/Whitehead are possibilities.

DBs - McDonald/Slaughter/Lawrence is solid group of DBs to work with and we aren’t hurting for depth at this position

Just my opinion but taking into account current roster with this class I think there are plenty of pieces to help next yrs team outside of the OLB question marks

Nice recap, IMO the focus for the '21 class will be at OT, HB, WR, OLB/Pass rusher and DB.

Come on man lol. I am the leader of the Kirby is overrated train but that’s just silly. They had a great defense. I think it just boils down to they chose the wrong QB. If they had Fields, they are in the playoff Bc they definitely at least beat SC.

Also bamas defense hasn’t been dominate the last couple years Bc their offense has been so great and they score so fast so they have less TOP. They don’t do the ground and pound and control the clock anymore. They also had 4-5 freshman starting for them this year in defense Bc of some bad injury luck.

That great defense held LSU to 37 points. As it was stated, UGA played a lot of young QBs. So Bamas defense sucks because the offense is too good?

You keep circling back to recruiting rankings. If those kids are not developed, it will show. But 5 stars across the online, and 5 star backs and only 61 yards rushing.

No not him. I’m just saying in general. Great QBs don’t just grow on trees. It’s far more likely that any QB prospect doesn’t live up to the hype vs ones that do.

UGA had a better "paper" team than bama this year and did nothing with it. Two more years of blown chances and Kirbys seat will be pretty warm, soon they will be back to an auto win for us.

I like this class a lot, already. They land a few of these other targets we're still in on and it could be a very good class.

A few things I'll point out.

Lawrence is a 5 star talent, 6'1" 200lbs runs 4.5s plays DB/WR 41" vertical...he's going to push to start, especially if he's an EE.

Calloway also plays both ways DB/WR listed at just 4.7 but appears to be even faster on film.
Hyatt has elite speed, next level ELITE speed.
Small is basically the prototype at RB. He'll add 10-20lbs and may even pickup speed, but he's already a 4.5 guy.

I like Williamson too, it's unfortunate he tore his ACL because with a stellar senior season I think he could have gotten a 4th star, but he's also (hopefully) had time to rehab and if we can get him in early he could be someone that develops into our next "Jennings" type (toughness/size) big shoes of course, but I like that he's played both ways and his film shows a very mean downfield field blocker.

I know what you're talking about, but I can think of quite a few that didn't "pop" early though. This year's Heisman winner?

The transfer game for QBs has really thrown a wrench into things. A lot of people thought burrow should’ve been Ohio states QB of the future and were mad that he left. Same thing with fields at UGA. Same thing with Murray at A&M. Coaches aren’t perfect and sometimes recruit a great QB that simply doesn’t fit what they want to do as much as sometimes even a lesser QB. Or they just choose the wrong QB and now with the portal QBs don’t have to wait around they can just go play somewhere else. So yes you’re right on that. I guess you don’t always see it on saturdays but i bet the people around the QBs do.
