True that, he'll benefit a lot from Fitz & co getting him in shape. He plays fast though with great awareness, something that Henry does so well. If you know where they are going it makes the 40 time less of an issue, especially as a LB.

Just gotta be fast enough to get to the spots when needed. I think McDonald is the quickest of the 3 though, one reason they are likely looking at him for the secondary.
Instincts and angles go a long way for ILB

Think Baron is gonna bulk up and play DE. He is going to end up in that 270-280 range with his build.

He's going to be a "pass rusher" I believe. What his official label ends up being, who knows.

The guys we have as 'DE' in the 3-4 are monsters though.

Middleton - 6'7" 311lbs
Solomon - 6'5" 300lbs

We'll see though I figured 6'5" 250s and 4.7s would be the obvious Darrell Taylor heir apparent.

yeah, to start out, he's an OLB. he can probably grow in to that DE, his frame can probably handle another 40 or so lbs. but yeah, early on, i agree. he's an OLB pass rusher, that can still put his hand in the dirt if needed.

Middleton/Goo/Solomon
Garland/ Emerson/Butler
.. and you didn't even mention Bumphus. He was in the 2 deep all this year. I kind wonder if someone between Butler, Bumphus and Mincey might be encouraged to redshirt next year similar to how Brandon Jonhson did this year. We are very deep next year on the DL.

Just relating what I have heard over and over regarding Baron. I don't think he will be at LB after Fitz and the nutritionists get done with him.

That is pretty much what the consensus is because of his build from almost all the things I have read.

Could be wrong...I don't care where he plays...I just want to see him mauling people.

i think you're both right. early on, he's a pass rusher; as he develops and if they decide to add to the frame, i think you're probably right in that he winds up as a DE.....

The world is ending..The dog pound is giving us props👀👀 take a nice read and enjoy this post👍🏽👍🏽

Hate to give UTjr/Coach Cornbread props, but...
Had to laugh at this

ugajuve, that is what I was wondering. They have 13 total and most of those coming during the 1930's -1950's.
The are a lying fanbase. Claim about 6-7 national championships and one was 1967 that USC won unamimously. Celebration was held at the stadium before a game and everything.
ridiculous!

And people wonder why i dislike them so much. They even count every football player, ref, coach, concession worker, everyone in ther game day totals. They’ve had games the last two years with announced attendance over 80,000 when 40,000 fans were not there. I do like the above tho, well thought out, we could do the same with DJ and Stinch and Pollack and Maria, well, you get the drift.
They don’t have have 29 conf championships, think they mixed ya their football and women’s basketball.
They have 2 unanimous NC (like us). They claim the “newspaper” titles. UGA has been named NC 6x by publications as well. We are 2nd in SEC in SEC championships.

IMO Baron will play the Darrel Taylor OLB role as a true freshman. S&C may even slim him down some to increase his speed a little. OLB speed rusher that can also set the edge is the biggest team need for next year and Baron should be able to fill that role nicely.

Now .. after Baron's true freshman year, he could eventually grow into a full time hand in the dirt DE .. but I think it will depend on where he is needed most. S&C crew can pretty much mold him for either role.

🔥 take coming...

If Jimmy Holliday is given the change to play QB, he could surpass Shrout or Maurer. He’s 6’ and could get to 215... he’s got a cannon and a verified 4.38 40... I know he’s coming as an athlete and will more than likely be a WR, but I’d love to see him have his chance.

that's a pretty good hot take.

he's a slot WR, and he and Bailey make people look like fools for the next few years.

@sjt18 thinks Holliday is a noodle arm. I can't really tell, but the kid is a playmaker imo. I say use him everywhere. Players like that have to be a nightmare for DCs..

You’re right about that. I’d just love to see him get his chance. Hopefully he will. But at the end of the day, I don’t want to see 4.3 speed standing on the sideline.

i think he he will. i'm sure chaney, at least early on, will have some stuff for him at Qb.

I think Pruitt really likes having a wildcat QB option.
