Butch last season fell apart not bc of lack of quality players. If John kelly catches a wide open dump off pass, you beat Florida in the swamp. Shi* went south quick after that.

That team was pathetic, puny and weak as hell physically and mentally. No heart, no desire and no work ethic....I don't see this quality you speak of.

Absolutely! I’m not disputing it.

We all like Pruitt and think there’s a good chance he’s building a solid foundation and culture. I think I speak for everyone there. But you know what will happen if we fire him and hire someone else? As soon as they hit a rough patch we’ll all say “well this coaching staff has to change the culture! There’s a reason we fired Pruitt, you know.”

And it’s technically true - especially in year one. But to me, by year two, you should have successfully implemented enough of your culture and system to beat teams you are clearly more talented than. Just my two cents.

AS we get closer to game time......what are your keys to the game?

Offense: 3rd down efficiency. We need to keep the ball and pound away
Defense: eliminate “chunk” plays.
ST: Lean on this more. We have weapons in special teams. Sometimes I think we get to overconfident on 4th down.

I think we win the game IF we don’t have a fumble lost which in big part means JG doesn’t have a turnover over on a sack

Tennessee's average experience level is also 95% (97% Offense and 92% Defense) which indicates that they are also rated at the Junior level of experience. Interesting note, they will have NO starting underclassman on offense, but they are starting 3 freshman and 2 sophomores on defense. Position Group to Watch, Tennessee is starting a Freshman & Sophomore at corner against very experienced receivers.

Can’t give you lack of recruiting. He literally had a NFL player at every level on both sides of the ball. (*not sure how Rico McCoy never made it but i would consider him nfl) and also the 2nd best defensive player to ever play at this University.

The Crompton comment about developing talent nailed it. Fans have selective memory when it comes to all the “talent” Kiffin had to work with.

The point was i don’t think our players and roster were/are “rotten, awful, soft...etc” bc if they truly were they would’ve never been in position to be one dropped pass away from winning at the swamp, beating South Carolina, thought they played LSU tougher than the score showed even tho we muffed like 3 punts.

Too much blame that should be pointed at the previous staff gets caught by our players. Always felt that way.

I mean crompton spent time with cutcliffe right? So i think it’s unfair to say he was never developed. No player is going to change THAT much in a year. Crompton benefited more off hardesty being an absolute bell cow more than he did Kiffin imo.

The lack of S&C and speed is a well documented fact. The lack of givacrap by a huuuuge portion of the roster is a well documented fact.

I know what my eyes saw, and I know that crowd as a whole was never going to help Pruitt turn this around. They had quit, and were never going to start again...that roster was rotten to the core...Pruitt is still handcuffed by it's pathetic loser nature...add that putrid attitude with Pruitts OJT and you get the results we have seen so far..


What will it look like when we have a whole team of To'oto'o's and Gray's, Wright and Morris's? I'm pretty dang sure it will look better than any of Bitch's half baked slop..

And I hope you want to see that as bad as I do.

And both Pruitt and butch went 5-7

I don’t necessarily agree with his grades, but it’s about the rosters. Pruitt inherited more talent than Butch. Butch started out well and then the wheels fell off.
