It’s crazy that our 3 big rivals are Bama, UF, and UGA...and to beat and even be competitive with them we basically have to be national title contending elite. In the 90’s it was just UF at that level, now the landscape has added two more.

This is an uphill climb across the board and I really have to wonder if or how long we can get over the hump. UGA and Bama just stacking 5-star after 5-star and reloading every year is brutal.

I just wish some blue chippers would realize that Kirby Smart isn’t a great coach. We get frustrated at some of Pruitt’s decisions, but there is enough sample size to see that Smart wins on talent. They have been undisciplined as well (McGraw in 2016, Pickens multiple times). They just have an embarrassment of prospects to choose from.

The reality we don’t want to face is that UGA might win the National Championship. What other teams are that good? Clemson, maybe Alabama?

We’re just not at that level yet. And the majority of college teams aren’t either. We just have to continue stacking talent and find that elite QB.

They were 11th. We just all wanted them to be top 10. They did finish in the top 10 I believe though.

Sam is right though. It's more that we play the worst schedule pretty much every year so that number is misleading, but it's a number everyone will use to spread negativity over UT. There's been years where we played 6 and 7 top ten teams in a single season.

Facts are facts. We need a generational QB to snap all this dumb sh** luck. It's the equalizer and the instant fix. We watch all these programs around us do it, and yet can't do it for ourselves. Just trot out 2. Insanity.

He was horrendous at it in the second half and the final outcome being what it was is not coincidence. I am most disappointed in the OL. We have to be better than that. We will find out Saturday when they play Bama. Mac Jones has looked pretty good.
Georgia's defense is on another level. I knew they were good, but they made our O line look like crap.

Guys. Let’s settle down and be realistic. Our defense played physical in the first half. The goal one stand on Georgia was something we haven’t seen in years. Georgia is elite and let’s not kid ourselves. With more depth on the front 7 this defense will be very good.
JG- if you expected this game to not ultimately turn like it did at the hands of our qb ( who we have 4 years of tape of this exact thing) then you’ve been in denial. He’s a tough kid, he’s a fantastic representative of our university, BUT he is a ticking time bomb against top tier defenses that ALWAYS blows up. Not like a stagnant possession streak time bomb, a let me hand you multiple scores time bomb that gasses my defense. It’s just time to play for the future. JG May be able to win a few games for us, but it won’t be Bama or Florida type games.

I want to believe that it isn’t all on JG but I compare his performance to that of Matt Corral last night with an OM team that isn’t in the same universe as us talent-wise going blow for blow with Bama and I have to wonder WTH is wrong with JG. Maybe it’s coaching, I don’t know, but JG has improved marginally over 5 years and still isn’t anywhere close to beating the best teams. He isn’t even making it competitive.

Evidently I watch it more than you, any football guy with a lick of knowledge can tell you yesterday wasn’t on JG. And besides JG is the only reason we put up 14 points so idn want to hear it. Y’all all automatically think a new QB Is gonna magically fix all our other deficiencies, NEWS FLASH it won’t. Y’all can talk ish about JG all u want but to blame him for that loss is the stupidest thing one could do. Strips sacks in the pocket more often than not means that a guy got in the backfield WAY sooner than he should of.

Cycles. We are on the same talent level with UF....doesn't mean we beat them, especially if Sham or Slaughter cant cover their TE, Pitts. Maybe put Bryce on him all game and let George man the outside.

They UF is really only better than us at QB. That's a pretty big deal but we can possibly neutralize that with good D and keeping them off the field with the running game.

We played with UGA for a half but their overall talent and our deficiency at QB and our OL playing like pu**is did us in. How does a veteran OL with that size not get any push on any play in the run game? Pass pro was at least good in first half.

Pleasantry surprised by the DL and edge guys(other than DJ) but Morven Joseph needs to be playing ILB. He showed enough speed to cover slot WRs and RBs. Banks is usually there by still gives up the play and Crouch is to slow....needs to pull a Henry T. and trim down. Starting to think he should have been a RB....definitely doesn't look like a former #1 recruit at one time.

I'm happy with the coaches.

I think we all want to be more competitive with the Ath-clowns. we all know JG ain't takin' us to the promised land, metaphorically. Prove us wrong, JG.

In retrospect, my biggest disappointment was in Chaney. He never adjusted to what Georgia was throwing at him. He played right into their hands. Georgia was coming from everywhere. Normally that's risky as you expose other areas. We never punished them for that risky scheme. They were shifting the line virtually every play. They waited for the play call then would shift. They should have had the center hike immediately when they shifted, catching them in the middle of a shift. I think Chaney was illprepared and wasn't able to adjust on the fly. I'm a big Chaney fan too. Probably the worst performance from him that I can recall.

Second was the o-line. I think they've been reading their press clippings. I think the play calling did them no favors though.

JG was a disappointment but not as much. He performed like he usually does against elite defenses. It's like taking a 4 cylinder pinto to a drag race.

I don’t get the hate for 3 blindside hits and fumbles. The interception...yes. He was 11/13 with two dimes for TDs in the first half. Georgia adjusted and blitzed the heck out of us in the second half. Our offense did not adjust. Chaney had an awful game. I hate seeing things like “free QB” ads. I’m frustrated by the second half too. Just frustrated for different reasons.
