It's ok to sprinkle in some freshmen but we aren't gonna beat anyone, in the SEC, playing freshmen across the board. No high school team in gonna win in the SEC.
What I suggested is merely what we see across the SEC yearly. A 6'2 200lb Jalen Ramsey sized corner that plays very well year 1. Stud freshman wr's that aren't the top option but still finds the endzone when ball comes there way(need opportunities for this to happen). A freshman QB that can make all the throws and can take a sack without it being a strip sack.

So would you take a mediocre record with a 5th year senior who handicaps the offense or...

A young qb who is getting valuable experience when they don't lose a year of eligibility in the process?

Me, I'm all about the latter.

I’ll take 7-3 with JG at QB over 5-5 with another QB you dang right

because this year counts

I'll also add that I thought JG was supposed to be on a short leash!? Guess that was BS... I even think I remember @Atlanta VOL saying it... oh well...
I’m sure Atlanta Vol was told that, coaches are great with coach speak. Fulmer is great at it. I could see someone asking him before the season if JG doesn’t get it done if they would make a change. He would say of course and how important this year is to the program and they will make any necessary changes to win. Even if they don’t plan on making a change at all.

I would take Stetson, the Missouri QB, the OM QB, maybe even monds. All have what JG doesn't have, moxie, gamesmanship. Some don't have the arm strength but they kill him with the intangibles.

you really want to crown the mizzu QB after the LSU game?

See what MSU did to that same defense for my reason to caution you on that

Absolutely but I don't have the confidence JG has the capability to lead us to that. I think we lose to Alabama, FL, and one of A&M or Auburn, and it wouldn't surprise me to drop another one.

Doesn't matter, JG plays better off the bench. Pruitt oughta give Shrout, at least a quarter. I know our defense will not let us lose the game in the first quarter against Kentucky
I doubt Pruitt will announce any QB change before the Kentucky game. Why give them any information prior to the game. Kentucky will game plan for JG.

He did pretty decent against the vols as well as put up 45 against LSU. I don't think JG puts 45 up against about anyone. His upside is much higher than JG imo.

Getting tired of the JG apologists. He seems like a good kid and I admire his grit, but I'm tired of people making excuses for his obvious shortcomings. Is it all on him? No. Is most of it on him? Yes. Sure, we lacked discipline. Sure, our defense wore out as the game progressed (which happens when they can't get off the field for a rest because the ball keeps being turned over). Yes, our front 5 OL got whipped by their front 7 D, and our RBs seem unable to break tackles. But UGA schemed to put all the pressure on JG and he broke. Just like he broke at Bama. That's the key to beating us. Pressure JG and he reverts to form. No amount of coaching is going to change it. He's proven it time and again and we saw it yesterday. I doubt we see a change at the position, but I'll be damned if I understand the why of it.

Got out played by a 5’11 QB who was like 4th string who had never started in the SEC until this year. Oh and we were getting pressure all over him.....

That should say enough there.

After sleeping on it, I’m upset because I thought we were further along than what we are. We had a chance to take a step back to relevance last night and s*** the bed. Before the season started, a lot of people were saying this season is a success with 6 wins.. considering Vandy a lock, we’re half way there. Kentucky and Arkansas should be wins.. Auburn looks really bad, so there’s your six... beat one of A&M Bama and Florida and we should be dancing in the streets... one thing I have learned about Pruitts’ teams are they get rolling the further along the season goes... 7 wins does not seem too far fetched if we don’t beat ourselves like last night
I truly believe we can beat Florida, I just don’t know if we can beat them with JG. We will have to put up points on them just because their offense is so good. The running game will help us some there but we need a QB that will really help get us some points and not just be a game manager.

The point is the QB that threw for 6 TDs against LSU Just two weeks ago got benched yesterday while leading his team to 2 pts vs Kentucky And threw 4 picks

Pruitt said after the game he didn’t think changing QB’s would help bc the issue was protection.

Our OL was terrible and our RB’s didn’t pick up blitzes. JG not hanging onto the ball made it even worse but even if he doesn’t fumble those, he still got sacked.

Such a disappointing showing from that OL.
Big difference between getting sacked and getting sacked and turning the ball over and giving the other team a short field. Which is what all of JGs turnovers did.

Our offense was not good, but holding the ball too long -- fumbling/interceptions lead to scores. You can't constantly give a team that kind of field position. We go through this every year that JG has been quarterback and it never gets better. I know he's a good guy.. I hate this.

But that wasn't the Missouri QB. That's my point. Sure he may implode but he hasn't to this point. I was impressed with him against the Vols last week. Yesterday only strengthened my opinion of him. All I've got is what I've seen to date.

Your problem is you think a QB is responsible for everything, bazelak didn’t put up those points on his own. And LSU defense ain’t scaring anyone right now, but if you wanna crown a freshman QB you’ve seen twice as better than Jg then be my guest. It just proves how flawed your logic is
