I have zero confidence that JG can win any of those games comfortably. I'm not predicting losses. Im predicting they'll be hard games. As the season progresses do you not think Mason will scheme to make JG beat them? He's the weak link on this team. That's all I'm saying.

The weak link against UGA was the OL

It more so depends on the O line though. Mizzou schemed and stacked the big to stop the run and still couldn't.
UK, Arkansas, Vandy. We should be able to run on at will. Auburn looks soft right now but are still more talented than the other 3. AM and UF are toss ups.
Yeah, I said earlier if we could force our will on them being able to run against 8-9 man fronts we should be ok. GA also did some blitzing that confused the o-line. I'm sure others will pick up on that and employ the same stuff against us. My gut still tells me we'll be in tight games for the whole season.

So our QB was worse. As a 5 year senior?

Bazelak gives the ball up twice against us, and we beat the ish out of them.
Bazelaks team wins the following weak against one of the worst LSU defenses in the past 30 years.

We lose to arguably the best defense in the league, and we rush for -1 yards. Jg is strip sacked twice by players who were unblocked. While also throwing 1 bad pick

You- “Clearly the freshman bazelak is better based off ALL 120 minutes of play he has on film that I probably haven’t even watched personally”

Your emotion is the only thing you know, and it shows in your posts

You sound like a fool, but my all means keep spewing bazelak is hands down better.

It's the biggest question of his career. Does the zone blocking scheme that Chaney prefers work with dudes who are so big, or can Friend not develop along the OL?

They are friends and I get that. But the OL has been suspect since he’s been here and were just annihilated all game long. He needs to go. Fulmer can give JP insight on this dilemma

It for sure confused the hell out of our guards. I remember at least 3 or 4 plays. Where our guard slid over to help double the tackle and then either a limebacker or safety shot the gap and the guard didn't get back over in time.

Weak links on teams don’t have undivided support from all their teammates/coaches

JG does

I trust this team and their coaches. Their in trenches everyday together and they know who’s the best at every position whether we agree with it or not.

The OL did improve from Helton's scheme to Chaney's, but again a lot of zone blocking. This year isn't looking great for Friend/Chaney's development though.

You can't see the big picture because JG's manhood is blocking your view. I think if Bazelak was in last night he would be running for his life, too. The difference is he would have gotten away more often. JG is a fifth year senior and still has zero pocket presence, virtually no escapability, and cant recognize where a blitz is coming from. And, he still relies on the sidelines to read a defense.

You don't know this. What are the players supposed to say publicly? JG sucks? Lol.

JG did a lot of check downs...we don’t really know what Coach called when he checks out of the call, do we?
I don't know . There was a moment I think at USC that after a particularly bad decision the camera landed on JG, Weinke, and Shrout. JG was rather animated, Shrout was huh? and Weinke looked incredulous staring at him.

Recognizing blitzes maybe, but blocking those blitzes is not his job; it’s on the O line, Te, and RB’s. And You assume JG has the green light to change it on his own, he doesn’t. So blame Chaney for not checking into the right play if you want to use that example.

And if our million dollar coaches thought we had a better option at QB, I guarantee you they would make the change.

Bottom line, -1 yards rushing is not a recipe for any team to be successful, let alone a singular player. On top of that we had 10 penalties, between that and the rushing numbers we were doomed no matter what
No maybe to it. He has to recognize blitzes and know how to exploit them. Really good QBs want you to blitz because they know that you're weak somewhere because of it and can exploit it for big plays.

I think Bazelak is gonna be a good one
