Imagine Hyatt, Wideman, Palmer, a real OL coach, Ty and Eric in Kiffins offense with Maurer or an actual transfer QB that isn't terrible.

Idk what our defense would look like but man we would have fun watching us play.
eh. not worth the trouble. but i do think the offense would look a bit different, i'll say that.

Getting the SEC offices out of Birmingham really needs to happen. It isn’t a good look when stuff like the UT/Bama, Bama/MissSt from last year and OM/AU game from this year happen.

It always made more sense to base it out of a place like Atlanta or Nashville with a more diverse presence. Birmingham is infested with Bammers and Barners.

Nashville or Charlotte IMO.

Charlotte is already the headquarters of the SEC Network and is not too strongly affiliated with the ACC (championship game is there but there are plenty of SEC fans here too). Nashville because Vandy barely even counts as an SEC school.

Real wildcard would be Chattanooga. ACC head office is in Greensboro NC so a smaller city could work.

The other 3 QBs would’ve lost the game too
100% disagree. You can never assume Bailey or Maurer would have thrown two pick sixes. It changed the whole game and the team rolled over. I bet we would have won with Maurer. He could have ran all over them.

Atlanta would be good. There really aren't an overabundance of UGA fans. There are just as many Auburn folks on the metro area as UGA. I remember reading before Mizzou and A&M joined that every SEC school except maybe UK's largest alumni base outside of their home state was in Atlanta.

You know that the same people will be in the offices wherever they are located?

If we lose to Arkansas we’re staring at a 3-7 finish. That would mean just one more victory and it would come against Vandy.

Basilio just reiterated that if we finish 3-7 then Pruitt will be fired. We would be in that Willie Taggart zone where you just cut bait because you know it’s not going to succeed.

Respectfully I don’t see this happening in today’s climate. I think we are still paying the other guy off and I doubt we would stomach going throught his again particularly in a year where the epidemic has slashed revenues.

2020 is a weird year and will be treated as such. We do need to start showing (real substantial) progress next year.

My thoughts....

It only takes a few wins to turn around the feel for a program. We have to beat Arkansas and a few others down the road. It will change the feel of our program and we can hopefully point to Covid as a big reason we weren’t ready to start the season. We need to finish 4-1 on the back end and I think we have enough talent to do so. Have to play Maurer or Bailey IMO to get there.

Well I guess that settles it. Zachary Evans is a bust 4 rushing attempts into his first year.

I really have to question if people think about anything when they post or are we all just on autopilot..
He didn't even play early games. He missed a whole month in quarantine...I think Patterson sending a message to him early. Either fall in line and do what's best for the team or you'll sit. From everything in his recruitment, definitely sounded like he needed discipline.

And plenty of it.

What do you expect for next year though? Seriously in terms of wins and losses what do you feel is realistic? Not attacking you, just want to know where you feel we are.

I just posted this in the FF and think it’s relevant to what you guys are discussing here
It is definitely true defenses across the board are all behind the offenses because of covid missed time. I noticed this in week 1 and week 2 with all the terrible pass defense everywhere. Things have slowly regressed back toward the mean, but in 10 games it will probably never get back to a usual season of defense.

That said, apples to apples, we are still further behind than some others which was not expected with some of the preseason talk of a top 5 or 10 defense. It is what it is, I still think our best players are youngens...will take some time. Our D last year may have spiked because of 3 stud leaders on defense, 1 on each level. They all left, we missed all of Spring...is what it is.

Saw this in the FF and I’m gonna steal it :
Pruitt at this juncture of his tenure: 15-15, 0-8 against UGA/UA/FLA
Dooley & Jones at this very same stage: 14-16, 0-8 against those same 3 teams.

🤷🏻‍♂️
Jones then beat UGA in 2015 and 2/3 in 2016. Maybe CJP can match Y3 by beating Florida. Winning 2 of 3 next year would certainly put everyone on board.

All said, uga and uf are also just better rn than back then though...sucks but true.

Ole Miss will be better.
Possibly, but they are still bottom half of the west in talent...just saying out of the yearly rotation, they are a good one to get next year. Them and Pitt give us a chance. Better than say....2013 Oregon and Auburn 🤣

Gotta find the marginal opportunities where they exist and take advantage.

8 wins next year IF we can develop a QB. I think our problems lie with how bad of QB play we are getting. I am not so down on o line play. I blame a lot on the QB problems and him not moving well in the pocket. Also, Bama puts up big numbers on anyone. Doesn’t mean our defense isn’t good. They made UGAs defense look average and they are the best in the country. Some times you just have to tip your hat to an elite offense. Hopefully JG moves on and Bailey/Salter/Maurer take the reigns and play well. Our schedule is pretty light compared to what we are used to in 2021.
