This kind of assumption always gets to me, if you haven't played anyone with a heartbeat your probably not going to give up many points or yards. Then you look at the points that the offenses give up ,this puts a lot more on your defense. There for you have to take chances to get back into the game.
You’re right. But, Arkansas has played UGA, Miss St, Auburn, and Ole Miss. There’s a couple of pretty good offenses in that group.

I agree to a point, the other thing you should look at how many games and if there's a biweek ,let down, lost players . My opinion it takes at least 7 or 8 weeks to see where a team stands . The SEC schedule is vastly different from any other conference , lot of coaching changes most ever year.

No doubt. Those are really good points, buddy.

You could make the case that Calloway should have been drafted and JJ not, but JJ has that dog in him and impressive highlight reel. Calloway’s combine numbers were better than JJ’s.

Calloway would have been a 2nd round draft pick if JG could hit water if he fell out of a boat.

We're currently ranked 12th in the SEC. Long ways to go and maybe we were even that low halfway through 2019 before the turnaround, but man I'm still shocked how 1-ply we have looked at times, especially in pass coverage. Other times we look good.

Edit: for some context, 8th-12th place teams are verrry tight. We could just as easily be 8th. Though still not great, that is at least decent. The gap between us and 13th place (Vandy) is 5x larger than between us at 12th and 8th place.

I guess it also depends on what metrics are used.

Highest-rated SEC defense according to SP+...
1. Georgia (1)
2. Alabama (21)
3. Texas A&M (23)
4. Florida (26)
5. Missouri (28)
6. Tennessee (29)
7. Auburn (30)
8. Kentucky (34)
9. LSU (44)
10. Miss St (50)

Just need a little more quickness, or quicker reactions in the middle of the field and we will get better. I think having a raw and young LB corp not getting a full offseason of practice is showing up big time.

Agree pass rush is killing us also. No pass rush opens everything up eventually

Should be an asterisk next to anyone who has played Bama. Also you shouldn’t be able to count your stats against our offense. We are what you call a stat filler.

I didn't realize that CJP was calling the defense, and Ansley was calling the DB's. Is this usual? Seems to me that with that kind of defensive play calling, it can create a lot of confusion among the players. Is this something that is done a lot among college teams?

So Arkansas goes winless in the conference two years in a row. Then in year 1 with an o line coach has a top 5 defense in the conference. But people want to use that as an excuse for Pruitts struggles. Im sorry but he probably isn't it
Not excusing anything. I'm on the fence regarding Pruitt, leaning towards him not being it. I hope I'm wrong but I chose to ignore the early warning signs with Butch and I won't do it again. Unfortunately I'm seeing some issues, hopefully he can learn quickly enough to keep it together.
