I can't believe BT is halfway thru his junior year and doesn't have a pick 6, with his ball skills and running ability. BT is still, by far, UTs best DB and will probably play on Sunday's, but I expected more interceptions from him

BT standing out so much is because the rest of our DB’s are really underwhelming. He’s a solid player, but i think he’s a bit overrated and doesn’t seem to have gotten much better since his freshmen season

Sounds a whole lot like what our sites spew out to try and calm the masses about continuing to play JG. I guess only people who are practice warriors can play. Even though you want your players to make errors in practice to learn from them and not make them in a game. JG May be Peyton Manning in practice but he is still Nathan Peterman on game day. Who knows what Maurer could do given the chance this year with a whole game.

Maurer throws two picks in practice, moves to bottom of depth chart. JG throws two pick sixes in a game, continues to play and start. Makes sense.

And JG isn’t a head case? And you’re comparing a true freshmen QB’s performance who probably had very limited snaps to a fifth year senior QB who has started for seemingly 10 years by now? I know JG can’t get it done. We have no idea if Maurer can or cannot because he was never fully given the chance like JG. All I know is this tram has quit the last three weeks because of bad QB play and they seem to play with excitement whenever Maurer comes in.

Funny I dont hear many things about Bailey being bad in practice. Just Shrout and Maurer. These guys arent SEC level QBs. They belong on a Sun Belt team or something like that.

They just started playing Bailey so there hasn’t been much to report. News flash, JG is Sun Belt QB too. At least Maurer can run. I’d rather watch the damn option with him than JG.
