The incoming freshmen are better than our current roster immediately is the same song and verse. Has to change.

We won’t be elite until this is no longer a conversation because we have 4 star depth across the board and 2 or 3 deep. Pruitt needs a strong class to have a long term chance. This is his most important class to capture.

I'm with Smyrna ATL on this one. No one expects Maurer to go in the game and play mistake free football, but when he's in the game he has a propensity to make more explosive plays and you can tell the offense has more juice when he is in there. He gets the ball out quick and if you watch his highlights from last year he also does a good job of throwing the ball away instead of taking sacks.

On the other hand, JG knows how to get us lined up good and but causes catastrophic turnovers and has the O and D clearly uninspired. He can't make plays with his feet like Maurer. When he tries to run an RPO he fumbles the ball off our RB. and he is at his ceiling as a 5th year guy.

If we're going to turn the ball over anyway (which we know with certainty JG will do) then give me the guy with wheels and that the players get excited about having in the game and who also may have a chance to improve with live game reps.

Not to mention that our fabulous 5th year guy is averaging like 175 pass yards per game right now which in this day and age is just pitiful.

The other notable thing was how all the cheering fans turned on a dime and booed relentlessly whenever he started speaking. I’d have felt sorry for him if I had a better opinion of him.

There was a lot of talk last night about his ear piece having a delay and that was something he wasn’t prepared for and it had a real effect on his verbiage

If JG is our best option then we have no option. We literally had to gameplan around the guy last week and were running it on 3rd and long all day to keep him from throwing picks/taking sacks. You can't score more than 17 points that way. Put in Bailey or Maurer with a smaller playbook and see if they do any better under the lights. At least they have the ability to improve and develop and will have the fanbase excited.

I’m really anxious to see what, if any, fallout there will be from the post game stuff with Turner. I immediately felt horrible for him when they announced it, and while I certainly understood and was happy for him to be out on the field for the postgame celebrations, I don’t see how they spin that if he truly had a positive result, which hasn’t been disputed to my knowledge.

Agree, absolutely no reason. Imo I just don’t see it happening, at least on a consistent basis. I think he rolls with JG the rest of the season. I hope I’m wrong and it’s just BVS kicking in. This QB situation is disheartening, it’s a dang mess

Yep. My thoughts for Arky is JG will start he didn't turn the ball over so I, sure Pruitt is happy with him, but have another QB ready for the inevitable implosion. Once JG starts turning the ball over again put the new guy in and ride off into the sunset with JG. A bigger concern though is defense and how bad we have looked, we need a youth movement at certain spots, and hopefully we get it after the bye.

Officially ready to start calling him Coach "Kick the Can Down the Road". The rest of this season is his chance to get the next guy valuable game reps so that next season we have our guy established and ready to roll. Instead he wants to just play JG cause it's easier on him and hope things work out next season with whoever is left over after transfers. Unreal.
