That would be a real positive if he's already ahead of Maurer and Shrout for the best QB2 option. Just hope it will be more about him and not just Maurer and Shrout struggling. Still surprised how much Shrout dropped from camp, from what we heard.

I would hate to be a player in the camp updates. Seems like everyone they say is breaking out always seems to disappear in the season. I agree, I hope they are feeding Bailey as many reps as possible. Get him ready ASAP.

If you watched that camp he was in they showed live (was it E11 maybe?), he needs a lot of development. I love what he brings to the table, but his hs offense is basic and he hasn't developed mid route throws it seems. A year getting coached up will do him a lot of good.

Just a par for the course end to a mess of a season. Justin Turner pulled from game in the 7th for a positive Covid test (yea how) Manfred booed endlessly, is visibly bothered by it, then appears to either get immediately drunk or has a stroke. That was bonkers.

I think he’s ‘the best we have in practice’. It’s always been ‘in the game’ where he struggles.

This is why it’s so frustrating though because Jeremy hasn’t given anyone a chance in game other than JG and I guess Shrout who’s a bust

Yeah, what’s up with that? It wasn’t quite slurring but his speech was slow, deliberate and strained. I started asking myself if that was his normal speech and I’ve never really paid attention but I think I’d have noticed that before, as many times as I’ve heard him talk.

The other notable thing was how all the cheering fans turned on a dime and booed relentlessly whenever he started speaking. I’d have felt sorry for him if I had a better opinion of him.

Something about AP being honest and telling the truth about something Butch did or probably still does. That’s the most thin skinned person I’ve ever seen. He’s worse than some posters up in this joint.

So, in other words, Swan is close to Chaney. If Bailey is making huge strides, then it’s time to rip the bandaid off, give him all the 1st team snaps from now until Arky, start him against Arky, and never look back.

Yeah that’s a weird “progression” regarding Shrout, talking about him making many improvements to bottom of the depth chart.... rough

Go Dodgers! Certainly not as long suffering as the Cubs fans, but I’ve been a dodger fan since the early 90s so I’m pretty pumped.

I’m really anxious to see what, if any, fallout there will be from the post game stuff with Turner. I immediately felt horrible for him when they announced it, and while I certainly understood and was happy for him to be out on the field for the postgame celebrations, I don’t see how they spin that if he truly had a positive result, which hasn’t been disputed to my knowledge.

And so the "QB we have committed yet is not on campus but he is the true future of UT football" continues. Happens every year.
