Recruiting Forum Football Talk II

They don’t @butchna im not one of them and I’m not saying they matter I’m just curious as to where this talk is coming from and what they have possibly seen that gives them doubt.
The alternative is ANOTHER JG thread? They “see” as much as the rest of us...nothing. The idle will wonder. As a fanbase we can’t handle not knowing...so we let it be known. We did the same back when Darrell Dickey was backing up Tony Robinson. People were stumping for Jeff Francis when Robinson got knocked out for the rest of the season. We didn’t KNOW what was going on behind the scenes...didn’t stop us back in the days when we couldn’t instantly create a thread and had to rely on letters to the editor or 20 seconds on a call-in show. Absence of knowledge isn’t knowledge.

Correct me if I'm wrong (my wife does it frequently) but wasn't it mentioned when Chaney was hired that he wasn't a big HB fan? Bailey or Salter both seem like good options moving forward but not sure Chaney is. He seems to be the "stubborn" one who gets stuck in a rut calling a game. Still believe the future is positive but not sure everyone will be part of that future.

It’s alluded to but it’s not a known fact. Just a perception that went viral. So science.

Everyone was soooooo excited when we hired Chaney, a proven and experienced OC. Now he's the problem. I forget, was he here when Pruitt lost to Georgia State and BYU as well?

My point was that people are saying the staff is already planning to use Salter and Simpson over him, and I don't think that's the case.
I agree with you completely. That was more directed at everyone in the other side of that discussion.

********. Doesn’t matter if he has his cell phone number or not unless he’s a member of that coaching staff he has zero right to text any coach complaints about his coaching

Btw I have Rick Barnes cell phone number saved in my phone should I text him and tell him who his starting linup is?

Great!..will you text him for me and just tell him to quit forcing it in the paint with no inside threat near the basket?...Grant Williams left two years ago,Oh! And put vescovi on the outside to be a legit shooting threat.thanks @BruinVol

Maybe @snowvols can chime in. He has seen Bailey play a lot and I just cannot imagine HB being recruited over at this point.
He'll be fine once he plays. I imagine the offense will look a lot like UF's with Trask, but Bailey is more mobile than Trask. I hope they arent trying to find a more mobile QB just for the sake of it.

yeah, i tend to agree. but that year 2 for Kirby was a big year, and a lot like this season, they had a GREAT defense...all those upper classmen that stuck around that 2nd year instead of leaving for the NFL was absolutely HUGE in the assention of that program, and again, it made the offenses' job a little easier to know that the staff was very comfortable putting that defense on the field in basically any situation.

and once they won that ND game.....you couuld pretty much tell EAson was done. the kid from Warner Robins was going to be "the guy"...the kid from the pacfic northwest...'never heard of him'.............lol.
Fromm could do things Eason couldn't. Fromm was a 5* too and had the more developed football IQ. 1 play away from an NC ain't too bad either. Fromm had 27 TDs as a freshman, far eclipsing Eason. Even Eason's last year at Washington wasn't spectacular, though solid.

Buut I do think he majorrrly effed up losing Fields.

Can't believe they had a run of 3 straight 5 star QBs lol. Doubt they pull that again. Meanwhile, I'd be ecstatic if we could pull just a single 5* qb...though Simpson appears in that range...so far.

“Back in the day”..seems rough...I can’t imagine writing a letter just to b**ch😅😂😂 especially to a editor or writer. you older folks were extra as f*** but y’all definitely make the world go around just by telling past stories like these!..this is why quote your posts and give you hard times because I’ll either get a smartass remark or a informative one.I entertain and live for both❤️🤘🏽

Just sayin. Us passing off our bs as “information” is not a new dynamic. I’m sure the Neanderthals drew figures talking smack about Uughh the Gnarled.

Anybody think Jamie Newman would’ve been kinda good for them? Helps when you still win even after mishandling ANOTHER QB situation.

Bailey may end up being as good as Trask, but not sure our offense will look the same. Mullen and Chaney seem to run quite different styles, at least as far as my very untrained eyes can see.

I remember a lot of places were saying he's well made for a play action type of offense...wonder if that's how Chaney might use him. Could be effective.

We only have 1 local gas station owned by an older Indian couple...Biltmore Grocery...not the nicest looking place but so friendly. They would special order stuff for me and always keep things stocked just for individuals. Always giving me things on the house and offering Indian meals I could preorder for Saturdays.

Unfortunately they just got bought out...million dollar condos popping up on our block and well...there goes the neighborhood...hate that shiz, but hopefully they made out handsomely.
