Imma be honest!...a lot of times when we post on here we really forget who’s watching us!..volnation has a kind of unique power that can get a hot seat discussion started real quick on social media and everyone think it’s coming from the AD and the university 😅 we need to pipe it down..before we see baseless articles about Hugh freeze linked to tennessee.😂😂 love y’all🤍🧡 from the bottom on my heart🥺 we truly are a one of a kind fanbase..it really brings happy tears to my eyes when I see others just as pissed off as I am!...no hard feelings I promise @BruinVol @MarcoVol @Devo182 but JG does suck and Pruitt needs to be fired...

It’s fun to speculate but not when it leads to social media efforts like have been discussed here.

The best thing we can do as fans is hope that this season is just like Brian Kelly’s 2016 4-8 year and Pruitt changes things like Kelly did

Honesty I think butches 2017 was that for him and we’d be much better off with butch but this program really needs to not have a new head coach after this season or next.

Here’s to hoping Pruitt and Kelly do the same the thing

I think there was a lot of warning about Pruitt's personality and whether or not he would be able to handle being a HC. I think Aaron Murray was right. He's trying to be Saban without the success. Was Jeremy Pruitt's rocky time at Georgia a red flag?

I really don't care how much of an @sshole Pruitt is as long as he wins games. He's not here to win a personality contest. All this whining about Pruitt being a big meany is some snowflake-level BS.

I dont think its about being mean. It's just that a lot of people don't like him and he is supposedly difficult to work with. He still has to work with his coaching staff and he doesn't have a Saban level of success to pull off being a dick all the time.

More ridiculousness. Say what you want about Butch, Hart, Jancek and Shoop. Daddy Jumper didn’t have enough moolah to finance their legacies...and no way to hide it. And no way Daddy Guarantano has enough money to even pitch the idea to a coaching lifer in Pruitt. Sometimes people just make bad decisions on their own volition.

I see. We've had some ball players that were great on the practice field but their performance didn't transfer over for game days. The coaches continued to start and play those players for entire games, and when those players made mistakes, it confused and infuriated the fans. When the coaches failed to make the roster change for the next game, the fans had to come up with a reason for the coaches to keep trotting out the questionable players.
Personally, I would like to believe that the coaches were "paid off" to play those players, instead of believing we had either worse players on the bench or just very dense coaches.

*It doesn't make sense to pay to get your kid playing time but when Volnation is left to figure things like this out, we get pretty creative.

**Did you hear about Ray?

Assuming there's not a mass exodus, Pruitt might finally be our Zook.

The S&C has been fixed and the talent - at least on the offensive line - is near the top of the SEC.

This job is different than it has been when Butch and Dooley left it.

Now, if we wait another year before making a change, that might not be the case.

i think that's what i said originally. lol.

and i do agree we let jones in particular stick around 1 year too long for sure. we've always been more on the risk-adverse side of firing a guy.
You threw your hands in the air about it. UT isn’t just unlucky. It is incompetent hiring and firing practices.

For instance, it could be viewed as bad luck that Freeze is available in the year of COVID and financial struggles. Or, it could be viewed as amazing luck that Freeze messed up at Ole Miss, went to Liberty, and is available in a year where our current HC is once again showing extreme incompetence.

It should be viewed as amazing luck just based on the fact that there is an actual elite coach out there with huge ties to the state of TN and who has actually said this is a dream job of his. When have all those coaching qualities aligned in the past 15 years?

The 2022 class will tank for coach McGoogle

I don't think Pruitt is is capable of being on Brian Kelly's level IMO.

Exactly this. Do it now, or screw yourself next year when multiple high profile jobs are open and your roster is trash.

Eh, I'm not Freeze or bust. I think there's plenty of guys who can be successful here.

I have said I would not hire Freeze but I certainly understand the appeal and would not be surprised if he's the guy.

But I like Billy Napier, Tee, Will Healy, Matt Campell (he'll have bigger job offers), and there are a handful of coordinators who could come in and take us to the next level.

A wildcard candidate I really like is Shane Beamer.

Tee? As in Tee Martin? What?

And no, we don't need another coordinator learning on the job. Bring me the proven guy who has won in the SEC at Ole freaking Miss

That is a typical UT AD coaching list.

I'm not, it's a complicated dynamic of which the fans, the admin, boosters...... Everyone plays a part in making it difficult and toxic.
Blaming the fans for being upset with the UT product of the last 15 years is like blaming customers for leaving bad reviews on a chair which you can’t actually sit on. You built a chair which doesn’t function as a chair. Somehow you fooled the customers into thinking it was a chair for a little while. However, don’t expect customers to be happy when they finally bust their ass.
