The 2022 class will tank for coach McGoogle

This!..and the fact that the recruits we have from the previous class still may leave because of the transfer rule,if it is passed.factor in Pruitt being just straight ass in his 3rd year is really working (in my opinion) against Fulmer to make a decision behind the scenes.those two things can definitely set us back further if it all unravels.

Demote Pruitt and hire Freeze

THIS ALL DAY---- OR, Fire Chaney and bring in Freeze as OC/ Assist HC.... that will fix two issues.... Pruitt will know he's gotta do things right or then we can send his ass back to Bama and promote Freeze to HC... This gets Freeze here and our Offense fixed. Freeze knows that if Pruitt F's up, he will be gone and Freeze will take over.

Tee? As in Tee Martin? What?

And no, we don't need another coordinator learning on the job. Bring me the proven guy who has won in the SEC at Ole freaking Miss
Again, Bass, I know this is your schtick, and every post is going to be laser focused on one thing or person until you're blue in the face, but the point of my post was to simply bring up names other than Hugh Freeze. Not to necessarily compare them.

Blaming the fans for being upset with the UT product of the last 15 years is like blaming customers for leaving bad reviews on a chair which you can’t actually sit on. You built a chair which doesn’t function as a chair. Somehow you fooled the customers into thinking it was a chair for a little while. However, don’t expect customers to be happy when they finally bust their ass.

Yo! the analogies are AMAZING.😍 perspectives are everything homie💁🏽‍♂️

What Schtick? What are you talking about?

You said, "I think there's plenty of guys who can be successful here." Then you brought up Tee Martin. You think that would be a good hire? Matt Campbell I can get behind. But a coordinator? Tee Martin? You're joking, right?

I see. We've had some ball players that were great on the practice field but their performance didn't transfer over for game days. The coaches continued to start and play those players for entire games, and when those players made mistakes, it confused and infuriated the fans. When the coaches failed to make the roster change for the next game, the fans had to come up with a reason for the coaches to keep trotting out the questionable players.
Personally, I would like to believe that the coaches were "paid off" to play those players, instead of believing we had either worse players on the bench or just very dense coaches.

*It doesn't make sense to pay to get your kid playing time but when Volnation is left to figure things like this out, we get pretty creative.

**Did you hear about Ray?
I’d rather it be what it really was. Jumper was all set for the Naval Academy but a non-fatal medical condition caused his failed physical. Walked on to a roster and committed the cardinal sin of being healthy while Darrin Kirkland was shelved early for a torn muscle and for being better than Dillon Bates. Not sexy enough, so we had to make it pay for play...no matter the insanity level. Couldn’t fathom the possibility that Dormady won the starting job over the chosen one (Guarantano if you’re keeping score...guess his pops couldn’t fork out enough dough before his income tax refund), so we doubled up on the goofy and made a conspiracy up about a mafia wedding arrangement. I’ve learned never to underestimate the capacity of this fanbase not to accept simple failure on face value. 🙄

The fans have kept this thing afloat, no doubt.

I also think the fans saw the brilliant work Phillip Fulmer did as head coach, with generational coordinators like David Cutcliffe and John Chavis, and took it for granted.

We have a historically very good program. But this program is not truly represented by the run from 1994-2004. That is an outlier.

2004-present is more of an outlier than 94-04 is.

Lowe also mentioned that UT is not thought of as a good job, but a toxic environment.

Well that's some BS--- it's toxic maybe because we've had 2 1/2 coaches so far come in and completely destroy the program... It would be a great job if UT actually got a real coach who could bring in kids, develop them, and get better each season. We're not asking for a Natty, good lord, at this point we'd be happy with consistently getting better and more competitive and maybe win the SEC ...

I think there's a path for a guy like Tee to be successful taking over his alma mater. Is it a sure thing? No, and I wouldn't argue that.

But what I'm trying to do is prepare for a world in which Hugh Freeze is either 1) getting multiple SEC offers and chooses one of those over UT and 2) a world in which UT administration, either by SEC mandate or internal decision, decides Knoxville will not be the place Freeze gets his real second chance. Both of those things are very realistic possibilities.

Lot of articles coming out about Freeze. Something has to be going on behind the scenes

Imma be honest!...a lot of times when we post on here we really forget who’s watching us!..volnation has a kind of unique power that can get a hot seat discussion started real quick on social media and everyone think it’s coming from the AD and the university 😅 we need to pipe it down..before we see baseless articles about Hugh freeze linked to tennessee.😂😂 love y’all🤍🧡 from the bottom on my heart🥺 we truly are a one of a kind fanbase..it really brings happy tears to my eyes when I see others just as pissed off as I am!..

Tee Martin couldn’t get hired at Georgia Southern. So we’ve gone from mid-major hires to mid-major rejects.

What about Sonny Dykes? Anyone seeing what he is doing over at SMU? with a 1/4 of the talent?

Ray would probably be his go to. Gotta remember some of the big money likes him....but A LOT don’t.
You mentioned Phil being a stop gap. Do you think he views it that way or do you think he sees this AD position as a chance to redeem himself and bring Tennessee football back after the way he went out in 2008?

I think that’s why Tee returned...to be groomed for HC opportunities...but on an EVENTUALLY basis! He definitely ain’t there yet.

No ones blaming anyone, merely commenting on why the program is considered toxic. It's a multifaceted problem. If your don't think the fanbase plays a part then you're ignoring reality.

1. Hugh Freeze
2. Matt Rhule (ask if he wants back in the college game)
3. Bill O'brian
4. My WildCard - Sark

If the top 3 say no, just keep Pruitt. If Pruitt wants out and/or loses the team and everything goes to ass, call Sark.
