I’m afraid what AV said in an earlier post, rings true. Unless you get some change within either the BOT or AD, no elite coach is going to come here. UT isn’t going to give an elite coach what he will want, and that’s control. My thought is the university, BOT and boosters hope to catch lightening in a bottle with these lower tier coaches. Would Freeze want that kind of control? I don’t know. But I’d certainly kick the tires to see.

R-R-R-oger is my all time favorite caller. He's a sweet and loyal Vol fan and used to wear Mickey Dearstone out on the WNML morning show. I used to listen to it every morning, until Heather Harrington ruined it.

Roger still calls in to Basilio all the time.

Depends on who it is or what they're saying. Eventually the doubt creeps into your mind when the voices get loud enough.

I feel like losing to Vandy is the only way Pruitt gets fired this year. The scrutiny would be too much for the university if we're paying that kind of buyout money when enrollments are down, costs are up, and lots of University employees are probably losing their jobs. Plus Fulmer would have to admit how stupid he was for extending him, and I don't see him eating that much crow.

used to go the Chucky in Erwin 20 years ago. Not a soul, all day. Now i count 40-50 boats and tubes in 1 hr stretch.

Still have a few getaways.

yeah...this lake isn't too terrible...it's not THE destination lake of the area, still very much a locals only type...and it's relatively small....3200 acres....plenty of coves and inlets, especially on the northern part of the lake, that are still undeveloped....there's a large nature preserve on the north side, so it should remain that way.

but there's nothing more annoying than paddling out to a good spot, finally getting in to the groove and 3 boats fly past you....you're just stitting there bobbing up and down in the water ....lol.

that part of the lake i'm on in the picture is a really shallow inlet. i think the deepest it gets in the center is maybe 8'...so it's a great spot to kyak or whatever....fishing kinda sucks though....

Thinking back to when Fulmer took over for Majors. That would have never happened if Tennessee operated the way we do now. I wasn’t as involved in Tennessee football as I am now, how was that viewed? We’re there issues involved besides winning?

Arkansas ate an 11.9 million buyout to fire Chad Morris. That on top of the 12 million buyout they had just agreed to with Bielema. But we are told we can’t afford it despite being far larger and more profitable than Arkansas ever dreamt of being.

It can be done and it needs to be done.

True, but it is still a difficult task given the amount of money the AD is losing this year due to the pandemic. It was already near broke.

eh. they got what htey got, and chaney wasn't here long enough last year to make an impact on getting another QB in the mix, and that was the case when what's his name decided on aTm...so you have to stick on HB.....

and that he wasn't chaney's first choice doesn't mean that they won't be successful together.

and by all accounts Chaney is getting "his" guy in Salter...so if nothing else you should get a solid competition at QB between two kids that should be really good.

if HB turns out to be uber productive, he's not gonna turn a blind eye to that.....

Prayers sent. My mom had surgery this past year for a brain tumor. Don’t be alarmed if the surgery takes a long time. I work in surgery and sometimes getting the patient positioned and ready for surgery can take an hour after roll back to the surgical room. My moms took all day but they got all of the tumor and she’s made a full recovery.

I think Majors demanded a raise, had heart problems, Fulmer and team won in Majors absence, Majors returned and team lost. Majors replaced by Fulmer and refers to him as Judas Brutus.
