I know people who have watched practices and are still around the program. They called Ansley being a** and a few other coaches too. VFLs like Chaney and know many other assistants are garbage. Truth is, we lost our best coaches and replaced them with subpar teachers. How do you know that for a fact? And why would Pruitt listen to someone like Weinke more than Chaney?
Also, I'll go out on a limb and say Chaney was more successful at Tennessee before and at Georgia because he had Tyler Bray and Jake Fromm as his QBs.
Probably Wal-Mart clubs. In gatlinburg, saw on FB Jeep club I follow, felt bad til I saw they were bammers...

Why is Pruitt listening to a subpar QB coach and not his experienced $1.8m/year OC?I know people who have watched practices and are still around the program. This is not true. Pruitt listens more to Weinke than Chaney. He is getting a lot of heat, but isn’t it weird how successful he was here before and at Georgia?
i mean it's easy to go back and armchair this now.I know people who have watched practices and are still around the program. They called Ansley being a** and a few other coaches too. Sherrer, Rumph, Rocker to Brunbaugh, Neids... Neids is a great recruiter but he has no business being ILB coach right now.Why is Pruitt listening to a subpar QB coach and not his experienced $1.8m/year OC?
Who, in their mind, were the good coaches that were lost and who are the bad teachers they were replaced with?
Sherrer, Rumph and Rocker. Roll back the dial one year and read the posters clamoring for star recruiters. If you brought up teaching you’d get yawned out of the room. Why is Pruitt listening to a subpar QB coach and not his experienced $1.8m/year OC?

but there werne't a lot of people that were shedding tears upon Tracy Rocker's departure. i think everyone agreed, good "coach", but total liability in recruiting, a la Jay Hardy et al.............i.e. there was sound reasoning, that was widely accepted, for making the move. now, we can gripe about who we hired, CJB, especially now knowing how bad a fit it wound up being....but as usual, firing wasn't hte issue....it was the hiring.
Shelton Felton..i think, at best, all you can say is it's TBD, but early returns don't show a ton.....and i think while we all agree Nieds has a place on this staff, w/out Daniel Bituli, the ILB's look a lot different.....so maybe that, too, is at best TBD.....
on offense, i think you can look at Weinke, Friend and Chaney and have legitimage issues with what's been put out there. but i don't see all 3 of those guys getting whacked...
anyway, safe to say, changes are coming again....so we'll see, and it all will go back to TBD status. lol.
I didn't understand the Rocker departure. As far as I know, Rocker was the only assistant on staff who was primarily a teacher and didn't contribute much to recruiting. The rest of the staff was made up of good, if not great, recruiters. So why send the one guy who is primarily a teacher packing?Sherrer, Rumph and Rocker. I was laughing until I realized what measures you had to go through to find this photo. Unless you already had it saved on your computer.....Nudes sent. Here is just a taste. View attachment 322424
Could be true. The thing that no one on here does is sit in on staff meetings so we really can only speculate. Obvious change in Defensive scheme late in the Arky game. Can't know for sure if Pruitt called it or demanded Ansley called it. The hardest adjustment a HC has to make when he gets his first job (speaking from experience even on the HS level) is how much autonomy to give to Coordinators.Stupid thought, but do could it be a situation where CJP thinks HB should be playing and CJC didn't get him ready? If the rumors of HB not being CJC's guy are true, this coupled with the shots CJP has taken at the offensive gameplan in the media over the past several weeks could coincide?
We've repeatedly bashed CJP for micromanaging this team, but what if what we're seeing on the field a byproduct of him doing just the opposite in allowing CJC and CDA complete control of their sides of the ball? There's no doubt based on his comments that CJP hasn't been thrilled with the offense, and no one will ever convince me that the pressure dialed up in the Arkansas game wasn't called by CJP to try to get us in position to get the ball back and win the game. So are we seeing CJP grow as a CEO figure of the program only to see poor results as a result of his coordinators?
Perhaps he's setting this thing up as we'd all hoped for in regards to the amount of resources he's been given (which is a structure that most UT fans would say was long overdue in being competitive). With the amount of analysts and support resources he has in place, he could make internal changes by merely promoting from within (Long/Osvelt) and backfilling more analyst positions.
