RIP footballI don't think UT has an appetite for cleaning house this year. If some coaches don't want to be here, it's a win-win for UT to help them find their way to another school or the NFL, as we have done in the past.
The only thing UT wants less than a coaching search is a public, drawn-out coaching search. The current administration will want a succession plan in place to avoid another public fiasco. With the positive way last year ended and this year started, potential coaching searches at the HC or coordinator levels weren't even on UT's radar. Factor in the pandemic, the financial shortfall, Fulmer standing behind Pruitt and the way Boyd prefers to do business... no cleaning house.
In all fairness, who was Fulmer really going to get at the current time that fit that criteria? Could have hired the Pirate, he fits that criteria, not working so well for State. For that fact, Pruitt had a better resume than Freeze when Ole Miss hired him.
RIP football
Oh well. If there’s anything I’ve learned in these last 20+ years following UT football, especially the last 10, it’s that coaching matters and Chris Weinke sucks at developing talent. Most of this staff sucks. Adios to them all! Fulmer can go too if he doesn’t agree.
I’m tired of supporting a loser program. It’s going to take elite coaching to turn this around, not a top tier QB being coached by losers. We’ve had enough of that nonsense.
How is it toast? Who has decommitted that really means anything? I believe we still have a top 10 class and that's not too shabby. Why??? ATL Vol swooped in and started talking about pulling rabbits and stars aligning.......... but yes I agree with you that recruiting is toast, and has been toast. Anyone that thinks otherwise knows something we don't...
I'm as fed up as everybody else. I just flew 2000 miles in a thunderstorm in a pandemic to watch the Vols play for the only time this year, and I'm not even upset the game was cancelled. I feel like I just avoided an excruciating experience. Walking around Neyland without having to watch this team get blown out by a grown adult named Jimbo feels like a win. And that is as sad as it is infuriating.

I'd roll the dice on about 5 of those names at this point.Josh Heupel, Willie Fritz, Billy Napier, Lance Leipold, Bill Clark, Seth Lutrell, Skip Holtz, Rick Stockstill, Sonny Dykes, Will Healy, Mike Denbrock, Tony Elliott, Rhett Lashley, Phil Longo, Cale Gundy, Sonny Cumbie, Jeff Grimes, Mike Bobo.
Best Google list I could come up with on short notice. Be careful what you wish for cause you might get it.
