The problem is with the revelations coming out about many of the assistant coaches not taking a pay cut, I think the majority leave and take jobs elsewhere. They will hate that everyone knows about that.I know far less than most on this board, but it seems like we should wait until the end of the season before making any decisions. Personally, I feel that Pruitt deserves next year at the very least. It's been a crazy year and many players missed out on spring practice/fall practice and such. It does look like Pruitt needs to reckon with some assistant coaches soon enough though.
Pruitt was given a raise and extension when the team was 2-0. Really and truly, this comes down to the blowout loss at home to Kentucky and the loss at Arkansas. With a sprinkling of the 2nd half at Georgia. Given more time to develop players with last week's bye week, we should expect to see a better (or, at least, more inspired) product on the field this weekend. I'd like to see some younger ones get more playing time.
One thing I read was that DelConley's comments suggested that all is not nearly as bad as portrayed on this site. Then again, what would we do without nothing to complain about?
Just when I had given up all hope for this dude. He goes and does something like this...Wow. Pruitt said that he was giving his coaches who took a pay cut money out of his own pocket to supplement their income. Has to get approval from the NCAA first, but that is quite a gesture. He really is a good dude.
I've said it before and I stand behind it. The only way I would move on from Pruitt this year would be if we hired Freeze because Freeze is a sure thing. I still believe that Pruitt can fix the defense with a full offseason and his players taking the jobs from the older guys. But he's got to figure out something with this offense if he's going to be here long term. Chaney is done imo.I know far less than most on this board, but it seems like we should wait until the end of the season before making any decisions. Watching a replay of the press conference. Pruitt definitely seems off, but I can't put my finger on it. Almost like he is being marched in front of the firing squad, the end is near, and he needs a rabbit pulled out of a hat.
It’s an even worse look to call ones self a “fan” but do nothing more than talk about wanting your coach fired. There’s no wonder that we can’t pull a game changer kind of coach. They wouldn’t touch this fan base with Rick Pitino’s dick and blame it on Bobby Petrino.Openly discussing being able to just go back to Bama if this job doesn't work out is a bad look.
I didn't get that impression at all actually. HE looked really calm and ready to roll to me.
I bet we see a little better football team on Saturday.
what do they need supplemented? it ain't like they're making 20k/year............?Wow. Pruitt said that he was giving his coaches who took a pay cut money out of his own pocket to supplement their income. Has to get approval from the NCAA first, but that is quite a gesture. He really is a good dude.
