If asked to give a semi-realistic list, I think I’d go in this order:
Campbell
Fickell
Satterfield
Freeze
Brown
Napier
Chadwell
Tee
Then there’s a whole bunch of guys in this third tier that I don’t think are worth separating.
Outside of Freeze the rest of this list is a giant erectile dysfunction. Just shut down the program if they aren’t gonna get a top tier guy. And no, I don’t consider any of these others as “top tier” outside of HF.

Tee is not a lateral move. He would be a step back. He hasn't even called plays as an offensive coordinator, and you guys want to make him head coach just based off his name. You give his bio and resume to any other candidate and you guys would be in full fledged revolt against Fulmer and the UT administration if they even mentioned him as a candidate for the position.
He called plays at Southern Cal but but was relieved of those duties at the end of his time there.

I apologize for the bump, but I didn't want to start an unnecessary thread..

Greg got hurt last, correct? Anyone heard anything?

Welp...it finally happened..my wife started running a fever and coughing last evening so I took her to get the Covid test this morning and it came back positive. I have a little bit of headache and sore throat and that's about it. It was bound to happen sooner or later, we are both in health care and it honestly shocks me that it has taken this long to hit us.

Prayers appreciated that we are not among the unlucky ones.
Prayers for both of you, Brother. Very confident you will be fine.

What? Read my post again. My first words was Tee would be a mistake. What part of that is so difficult to understand that I don't want Tee as head coach?
I did see that. However, you said Tee as head coach would be a lateral move. It wouldn't. It would be a step back - worse than a lateral move. My reference to "you guys" was to the other posters in this thread. I responded to you because you called it a lateral move. What part of that was so difficult for you to understand?

I think we need a giant killer to get the program up and running again. Felt that way since 2008, and that’s why I’ve wanted Petersen to be the first call anytime we’ve had a search since then.

Freeze, Campbell, and Neal Brown have wins that would qualify them as giant killers. The Freeze thing is just too perfect to work, someone that matters is going to quash that somewhere along the process. What I’ve read about Campbell’s buyout might make him one of the most expensive moves we could make. The more I read about Brown, the more I like him. I also like the idea of matching a QB developer up with Bailey and these young WR. The right guy could really make some hay there. That said, I would probably make Sarkisian, O’Brien, and Marrone tell me no before calling Brown.
