It definitely appears UT has no desire to please the fans or fill Neyland again. All we hear about is disfunction and poison within the upper powers of the program. It’s a joke. And some fans want to get onto other fans for b!tching and moaning too much. Well, sooner or later, there won’t be anyone left to b!tch and moan. People can only feel like their time and investment is being wasted for so long.

I’m ready for the eternally hopeful spring to come back around. If the day comes where I’m no longer excited about spring ball, then I’ll know I’ve finally ridden myself of this disease of a fandom.

I don’t have a huge problem with it either if it was a single issue but it isn’t. It’s a group is issues and most important some serious ncaa issues which we aren’t really discussing here

Honestly, I’m not that concerned about the NCAA issues either. I suspect there is infrastructure and firewalls here that would separate him from the recruiting sausage making. Basically a deniability factor that he didn’t have in Oxford. Admittedly, I don’t know the workings though.

lol.....evidence? no. which i've, and a couple others, already stated.

and it's still not the point. don't need any evidence to do what will inevitably be done with a Hugh Freeze hire, at TN in particular..
Will Tennessee be picked at by the media? Yes

Will opposing coaches try to use it in recruiting? Yes

Will any of it matter if Tennessee starts winning? No

My SC buddies are almost certain they won’t hire freeze. Scott satterfield is one to watch. If not him, I think it’ll be Beamer or napier. But satterfield supposedly wants the job and has wanted it for a while
that makes sense to me.

that's fine. and i've not said i'm against hirigin Hugh Freeze. in fact, i'm fine with it.

i think it's being way downplayed just how big a reaciton it would generate here, of all places.

Yeah it will trigger people like beta male Dan Wolken, Wes Rucker may get a little pissy but all that will be old news come September

This. Plus we are already picked on anyway, and losing is being used against us in recruiting....might as well win while it’s happening.

If there was a conviction or settlement or something concrete and official I would be out front picketing the Freeze hire. However, despite what media narrative that will be pushed, there is not a lot there past rumors. The media can pound sand spout moral virtues all they want while we are winning games.

i know it sounds like i'm arguing to argue, but really all i'm getting at is that this part of the coversation about HF is/has to be part of the consideration process, espeically here.

and if you pull the trigger, you have to be willing to go thru that, and to have a plan on how to deal with the blow black. cause i would expect it to be big and blusterous for a while.....

yes, eventually, it would settle. it would settle a great deal if he started winning relativel quickly....and never had his name mentioned in a bad light again.....

the recruiting piece...that might be a little trickier....but could be overcome with some time as well.

He ain’t going anywhere. Best get some real assistants that he doesn’t have to micro manage and keep the phones going to keep this class together.

With the risk of CP being gone after next year do you bring in several new assistants with brand new two year contracts? It is apparent nothing is going to happen this year no matter how bad it gets and you got assistant coaches who may get the axe with a year still left on their contracts. Don't we still go further in depth if after next year CP gets fired and then you got to pay him and the new assistants. You follow me?

Opinions on Shane Beamer? I know he's never been a coordinator but I believe he would hire a good staff and has a past history with Fulmer. UT could do a lot worse.
