i still say you make a push for DAvis and Lupoi....fire Weinkie and Friend ....bring up Chip and Osovet....move Nieds back to TE's....
figure out a way between chaney, chip and o to coach OL, OC and QB's.
If Nieds is truly untouchable (and I’m not so convinced), slap him with an on-field title with minimal coaching responsibilities. Long as Co-OC who also handles TE’s. Osovet expand his role because I honestly think that first half against Auburn had his footprint on it...but when JG threw that pick 6, they went back into the fetal position.

I like Napier. But he has less head coaching experience than Chadwell and Chadwell beat him this year.... Chadwell has improved three different schools. Napier has only been at LA.

He's 16-16 in FBS, all his other experience was FCS. He bailed on Delta State after one season going 3-7, had 2 losing seasons at Costal before showing out this season.

Also even at the FCS level he's already been in NCAA trouble:
In 2018, the NCAA released a detailed report concerning numerous NCAA violations that occurred during Chadwell’s tenure as the CSU head football coach. The violations ranged from using multiple ineligible players to players using scholarship funds to purchase electronics and jewelry from the campus book store. Ultimately, the NCAA sanctions vacated 18 wins from the 2014 and 2015 seasons and the 2015 Big South Championship. Also vacated were three wins over crosstown rival The Citadel, games during which CSU used ineligible players.

What's your thoughts on Mark Richt? I mentioned him earlier but nobody's chimed in about him. He's 60 yrs old and I read where he stepped down at Miami because he was burnt out. I'm thinking he could be the football version of hiring Rick Barnes. I'd be good with Richt, especially if his heart is in it.

Surprised Eric Bieniemy isn't getting any love on this board...

If the admin is scared of Freeze, give Eric or Joe Brady a look and pair them with a good/great DC... you'd have QB's and WR's lined up out the door to play for those two
He’s everyone’s top candidate in the NFL. His alma mater had the last college shot at him and passed.

not really...but I am def not a fan of getting smashed by crappy teams. Soo...motals he damned!
Hey, if the administration makes a change, I have no problem with it being Freeze. I'm pretty sure he has learned his lesson, from his past transgressions, and will not walk that line again. You only get so many chances to redeem yourself when your the face of a major program. If Pruitt has to go, I say try to get Freeze as his replacement but I don't have a dog in that hunt. I'm just a fan of UT sports.

It’s not...he’s done. He was more involved in his foundation than his last gasp.

I think we ALL can agree on this...let’s start off and get Pruitt out of here, then work from there. I think Fulmer hired the best candidate 3 years ago with what pool he had left to work with. I think he will hire the best candidate this go around and have a much larger and more proven HC pool. Fire Pruitt, hire a proven HC, and let’s start winning some games.
You don't speak for all.

Napier is the better choice in my opinion of these two. Freeze, Campbell and Fickell are my top 3. By far.

What has been made increasingly apparent is Fulmer wasn't as inept as we thought in 2008 and our success had more to do with him than the program around him.

We all kind of assumed he was wasting the brand - turns out he was keeping it afloat.
Hindsight we’re better off keeping Fulmer and winning 7-9 a year.

Still think we make a good hire after Kiffin leaves and we could be a good position right now.

Yeah I think so too, Napier has experience winning at the top 2 programs in college football right now. He stepped in and won in his first year ever as a HC, and is continuing to win. He's in a state grooming pipelines that we at UT would love to have. Helps he's a TN native too.

Alright face it y'all.Pruitt will be here in 2021. What do we wind up in recruiting rankings? I'll say 21st. 8th in SEC

No brainer
There’s just too much outside chatter happening for absolutely nothing to even be a thought. Hubbs, price, SC mods, fieldman etc have all had things to say about it. Another thing to remember, freeze isn’t going to demand the moon in terms of salary. He wants this job too bad.

I would be ok with Napier. Freeze, Campbell, Fickell and Napier would all do well here I think.

I've been saying that since the beginning, that the university wouldn't fire him this year. But I was assured by a majority of the board that he would be fired this year. They don't care what fans think. It's not a question if he deserves to be fired. It's all about what the university is willing to do. The only people who will sway their minds are the big money boosters, and I'm not entirely convinced UT will even listen to them atm.
