Everyone acts like they know how someone would do here. Everyone has their own opinion of who is a "wannabe" or not up to standard. I agree with you on Napier and/or Chadwell. Think back to the OC search and how many people went nuts when Drinkowitz name came up. Now, how many of those would be good with him replacing Pruitt. There is no sure thing. So if we believe Freeze has matured and grown as a coach and person, how can we not believe the same thing of Sark? Remove your bumbling Falcons fanboy viewpoints. Even Saban and Spurier failed in the NFL and they had total control. Sark was just an OC doing a job to rebuild his career and learn.
Both Freeze and Sark had falls from grace after being successful in the younger days of their careers. Both did the work, matured and are better for it now. Both are brilliant offensive minds. Both have SEC and HC experience. So many on here would take Kiffin back in a heartbeat and wish he had never left. Kiffin says Sark is his equal from an offense standpoint and that he will be a HC soon. He's already turned down Colorado last year to wait on a better opportunity.
Maybe OC is his Peter Principle top spot. Odds are it is not, just like being at Liberty is not Freeze's. There are no clean major options for UT that do not involve a wannabe or a redemption story. They will not blow open the piggy bank to make it happen. So, I'm all in on Freeze or Sark. Either could grow into a NC type coach IMO. I don't see Campbell coming. He would be a good hire, but I see him going B10 or NFL. If we go wannabe, I prefer Napier or Chadwell.
I don't think that will fly with most TN fans. I've been researching him for about an hour and I can't see how this would excite the fans and blow the recruits away. I wouldn't like itThe previous HC at Syracuse was something like 10-37 in his 4 years there. In Marrone’s 4 years, he had two 8 win seasons and a conference title. That’s a pretty impressive turnaround, I don’t care what conference you’re in.
Depends on if he kept playing Worley if it “gave them the best chance to win.”

We are not going to win another game with Pruitt. Have a chance against Vanderbilt if Bailey starts. Pruitt will start jg and you know it.I see you've decided to zig when everyone else has zagged. I understand it, and the hipster in me respects it, but your commitment to the schtick has blinded you to the fact that I've neither called Pruitt "Gump" nor am I advocating for Hugh Freeze.
We're on pace for 3-7 in Year 3. That's not acceptable. Defend it all you want.

If that's a shot my way then your off on your comparisons. Marrone to Mullen is like apples to oranges. I didn't have to Google Mullen to know he did a very good job at MSU. I saw some of his games while he was at MSU and I didn't have to Google who he helped get drafted. I bet the ones that's responded to any of my posts asking why Doug Marrone would be a good coach here, had to google something about him to support their side. He might be the answer for us but I've not found anything that makes me believe he would be.People short-changing Marrone and Sarkisian (provided he has conquered his demons), remind me of the Mehlin crowd. You can see how that has gone.
Even if he didn't win a championship, it would sure be a lot of fun putting up 45 points a game. We would win a lot of games and I believe he is a championship caliber coach. Would love to see what he could do here. Some are just resigned to us being terrible so let's hire another unproven! Not me, I want a guy who we know can win at a high level. That's Hugh Freeze.Freeze is begging
He’s hungry AF too to prove himself
He will wreck the east
Yeah, just saying he was the actual QB coach at Miss St for Prescott and Fitzgerald. He was OC at Houston then back to UF as QB coach and OC. He played for Meyer/Mullen and then Whittingham at Utah and was the QB when they blew out Bama in the Sugar Bowl.you really don’t want to go thru the QBs on Mullens resume
I’m not willing to give any credit to an OC working under Mullen.
All the credit goes to him.
