He also has Ohio State's worst season in modern history on his record, tied for school-record losses with a team that Meyer took to 12-0 the next season.

No, just pointing out sitting back saying this is fine, nothing's wrong too long brought us the last two disasters, it's bound to be the right way to go this time though.

Wouldn’t be fun scoring 45 a game if we’re giving up 50.

He would need an ELITE DC. I don’t care what direction CFB is going on with offenses and heavy passing games.. you adjust. It’s irritating watching teams that aren’t elite offenses scoring more than 20. Hell, whens the last time we shut someone out?

I’ll take a 27-0 win over a 63-35 win any day of the week.

Why wait? We've all seen enough. From each angle - both decision/process-oriented and results-oriented.

Butch was +196 points after 3 seasons
Pruitt is currently -108 and only going to get worse. What else do we need to see? And for anyone still pulling the Dabo card, he was +278 during the same span, in the positive every year.

If a coach has been outscored after 3 seasons and is trending downward...what chance is there he's going to be successful long-term?

Lol his defenses gave up 24.5 ppg over all 5 years. Pruitt is currently giving up over 26 through his time here. And that was with Freeze playing fast and JP playing slow until recently (at times).

I think he'll be fine. His teams play some defense too. The year before he came to Liberty they were giving up 37 ppg. He brought it down to 28 in Y1 and now at 21 in Y2.

There is no reason to believe he'll get anything but marginally better. The good news is there's nowhere to go but up.

I seriously doubt we make any move until after next season. I think it's a mistake but thatt what we'll do, and have another coach of the same caliber that will not be prepared to succeed.

When @nicksjuzunk says it’s ok to hire Freeze then you better hire the man. I wouldn’t want to wake up with a cobra in my bed.

He was hardly the coach...he took over that Summer as interim amidst a scandal. The starting QB (Terrelle Pryor) and others bounced because they were part of a scandal. That's like touting Chaney's HC record at UT 😀

Question for everyone.
Since we have been told it’s unlikely Pruitt is fired. How would you feel if Pruitt is back next year and we win 7 or 8 games with Bailey or Salter at QB? Will the board be upset we didn’t hire Freeze?

Not the entire board. No one can speak for EVERYONE.

Not going to spend a whole lot of time on it, but there is a little perspective to Butch’s first year at Cincy. They lost the starting QB, best WR, and several top defensive players from the year before. They did have some returning talent on offense. Cincy also played in the Big East then and played two P5 OOC games, including a top 10 Oklahoma. They lost by 2 to Oklahoma. They played 9 teams with 8+ wins while Kelly played 7 the year before and had Oregon State and Illinois instead of OU and NC State.

I’ve always said not all records are created equal.
