You really can’t include the Kick 6. If anything that was won bcuz of a poor decision to send a kicker who can’t kick it that far. It was essentially a punt return. To hold that against a coach is..... odd. Not to mention he’s the one who sent a guy out there. So two plays miracle at Jordan-Hare and untime played is all you can come up with? Uhhh ok
Do you not want freeze either? Because his team had crazy plays that helped him win vs big time opponents?

I don’t understand the fascination with Kiffin. He would be lucky to be considered a top 20 HC and cannot be counted to stay anywhere long enough to rebuild a program.

This. I mean, I would be happy to see him come back, but his actual winning percentage as an HC is lower than some of these guys that people are giving a hard pass on.

Unless you believe they may have formally terminated/agreed to terms but also agreed to hold on the announcement for optics given Pruitt’s family situation. No insight into what’s actually going on behind the scenes, but there’s enough to suggest they’re at minimum having conversations and trying to lock-in on a replacement candidate.

If you don’t do that, you look like Auburn.

He wouldn’t have been in the office this morning and working before leaving for Alabama. He is still employed and it’s all together possible agents are discussing possibilities with administration behind the scenes, we aren’t in travel F2F stages yet.

Freeze is number one unless one of the mega big fish are actually interested. I wouldn’t be mad about Gus. It’s definitely an upgrade to what we have currently.... he has been successful in the SEC. I think the East would be easier for him. He’d bring stability. It wouldn’t be a flashy hire but almost Barnes like. Just hope he could have success like Barnes has.

I get that. It doesn’t necessarily excite me either. I’d much rather have Campbell or Freeze. But I’d rather hire Gus than a coach who’s never even coached in a P5 conference let alone be a proven winner in that conference

I get the P5 prerequisite but not a necessity for me though. Mandatory HC experience and a proven track record (over 3-5 yrs preferably) of developing players and winning games. Those talents and skills will translate to the next level IMO. Once they start winning, elite recruiting will follow.

That would probably be my list as well. Gus should be the floor. He's almost a home run hire imo.

Gus has a better Win% against teams that finish ranked than Freeze does. Freeze finished higher than 5th in the west twice in 5 seasons. Freeze finished ranked twice. Freeze is 2-3 vs Gus.

I’m really not sure how some of y’all act like Freeze is a God tier hire and instantly will be competing with bama but we shouldn’t even consider Gus and he’s a horrible hire. I could list more stats but those people probably won’t even finish reading it
