I believe as of now that Pruitt is coming back. Two days ago I was certain he would be fired as early as today. Deerpark’s posts over the weekend are sound logically IMO. The Administration wants UT football to be successful but there are not good options for Head Coaches this year that would be any different than when we hired Pruitt 3 years ago. I invite you to read his posts since Saturday. He also explains in good detail why it is unlikely Freeze coaches here or any other P5 school. His prior transgressions going back to his time as. High School coach are too much to overcome

There were/are still better options than Pruitt. Napier was a better option, Chadwell is a better option. We know what Pruitt is and it ain't good.

I agree. I only say VQ guys Bc their close relationship and the fact that they deleted a thread on VQ asking about a possible ncaa investigation last week. That could be where trey even got the hint from but it’s probably a soon to be fired coach which makes more sense.

There are multiple realistic, non-Freeze options available better than Pruitt.

But they are hit or miss to bring the program to relevancy. Plus we will lose possibly up to 15 quality players if Pruitt leaves. That will set us back years regardless of who the new coach is. We are in a bad spot with limited options this year.

Not having multiple quality players hit the transfer portal. We would be in for another 5 year rebuild unless we get a guaranteed winner which isn’t going to happen. Read Deerpark12 posts the last few days. It completely changed my perspective on the current predicament.

That’s five off the top of my head. Marrone and O’Brien aren’t great, but they’re better than Pruitt. Call Joe Brady. Venables would be an upgrade.

Not if you listen to some on here. Be quiet and stop talking about changing, it's not going to happen, don't want to hear it, etc. You clearly understand what I am about to say.

From here it goes to families, friends and co-workers. Filter the information, figure out what is real and what isn't, formulate an opinion, tell others your opinion, build consensus, talk to others in your sphere of influence, contact media in public forums, etc. That happens from VN RF as well as other sites, sports radio, and boards.

Assuming AV is in the inner circle to some degree, why would he bother to post on here and ask us to calm down? Why would that be his message? Answer - because of the words in your post - "Amazing what a fanbase can do."

As fan we have to stop being sheep and just accepting the incompetency. You have a say and you vote with your wallet, time and support/non-support. That's what Bama, UF, UGA, Ohio State, Clemson, etc. fanbases did to get where they are and sustain. Once a HC/staff prove they cannot get it done and sustain - gone. Even Auburn, LSU, aTm, etc. do the same. We don't. We keep them at least one more year past their expiration dates and then hire another wannabe.

Gotcha. I'm not defending Trey. Or at least I'm not trying to because he pisses me off occasionally. I think he's getting a bad rap here though. It's still too early to tell but I don't understand why he's getting ridiculed for this. Maybe I just don't understand the unwritten rules of the business. If we are cheating and still going 3-7 as a fan that needs to be corrected. JMO
