Cant compare them. Jordan played when you could basically punch people (not really, just physicality wise) while Lebron plays in todays game where you can barely touch someone.

Jordan would foul out and Lebron would cry from getting punched in the face
Still makes Jordan the better player. Think about it. Jordan was unstoppable on offense while getting punched around. You just said so yourself. Lebron gets to score without getting touched.

Jordan = GOAT.

Last 20’years bud. What happened prior to 2000 has no bearing on the state of the programs today. Look at my history last night and you will find the posts where people are laughing that Tn football is the equal of Auburn.
I don’t know what you do for a living but taking random timeframes to compare anything can prove anyone’s point. Let’s look at the last five years or last ten years of this subject to this subject. But when accurately depicting a subject you have to look at a whole body of work and use all data. It’s not hard to understand. Why do you think people like Urban say this is a top ten program? Because it is. Just because you make bad hires and have terrible head coaches does not mean you are not a top program. If you put a ten year old in the drivers seat of a Ferrari, it doesn’t matter what all the car has, it won’t win the race. That is Tennessee.

Letting him dig the hole deeper is bringing him back hoping he fixes it. Giving him a new staff when he’s already tried it a number of times. Just so he can spin the wheel and randomly fire a coach because he’s a failure. Causing Tennessee to wait out the contracts of coaches when they should cut ties now and save the headaches
i don't know what you're arguing with me about?

Pruitt supposed to be Defensive Genius... our Defense has sucked ass for 3yrs...
Our offense pathetic under a supposed great OC with large playbook.

Yeah let's keep these two idiots.

Pruitt is a beneficiary of talent and not actually coaches kids up

It’s also painfully obvious Chaney needs a talented kid with a big arm to be successful.

yeah, and you think the UTAD is communicating a message to the fans as a result?

They are communicating a fan to the fans and the rest of college football. I’m not sure how you could say they aren’t. When auburn fired gus, they are telling everyone it’s not good enough. When Georgia fired Mark richt, they are telling everyone it’s no longer good enough.

So aside from the worst season maybe ever... definitely the worst offense we’ve had in a decade...we also are under ncaa investigation... oh and our coaching staff has shown an inability to control their team and staff on the covid protocols because we have been fined and now we are missing out on valuable bowl practices.

As a rule, F Pete Thamel, but this is a pretty good rundown of the supply and demand issue the transfer rule is going to cause this year. These kids better have a destination lined up before they jump.

Didn’t read the article so this might’ve been mentioned, but IMO the NCAA has no business passing this rule unless they also plan on eliminating the 25 initial counters cap.

You can’t have both IMO.

Get off your high horse

historically ten is the better job by a little

in the last 20 years auburn is the better job by a lot

currently auburn is the better job due to recruiting geography

auburn job >tenn job in 2020

Disagree on the recruiting geography. Their in-state talent pool is marginally better than TN’s but they have to share that pool with one of the best college football programs of all time. The other in-state college we have to contend with is Vandy.

The slight recruiting advantage in recruiting is their proximity to Atlanta and the panhandle. That advantage is real

UT has never fired a football coach coming off a winning season. Florida, Georgia, Auburn, and I’m pretty sure, Bama, all have. Yet everyone only throws out unreasonable expectations as a knock against us.

homicidal behavior
In his defense, he truly wasn't like that. I worked with this guy for several years. He is absolute salt of the earth and one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. There was no evil intent. He didn't enjoy it. He grew up on a farm, owned his own farm, raised cattle, grew tobacco and saw it as protecting his property and livestock. He is one of the hardest working, best humans I've ever known.

We used to give him sh!t and tell him he only came to work to rest...

again, i'm not saying he should keep his job.

i am saying that if they don't fire him, that's not an FU to the fans.

but you know that.....

The lack of speculation on a new OC is good news, IMO. There hasn’t yet been a commitment for a 2021 Pruitt administration, because otherwise you would be hearing some potential names by this point.

Or he’s literally the only guy who wants to work for Pruitt. He’s owed a big amount of money too and if we’re willingly giving it away why bother?

Honestly, and others may disagree with me on this, but I would put Magic Johnson above Lebron. Magic could and did play any position on the floor. Whatever was asked of him, he did it. People tend to discount him, maybe because of how his career ended, but the guy was a great basketball player.
Magic was before my time, I don’t really remember Jordan before his baseball phase. Kobe was the guy I got to see the most growing up. Loved watching those lakers team with Kobe, Shaq, Fisher, Horry.

yeah, ultimately it just screws the kid, because most won't get the greener grass they think they will. the top line transfers will have a spot, pre determined by the way, and that'll be that.
