It would be huge. What if we are 9-3 and get blown out by the big 3 though? We have to start being competitive in those games.
dude, we're 3-7. we're gonna get blown out by the big 3 again. lol. win the other 9? i'm good. however, i don't 'think that's happening, ftr.

Yea i mean that makes more sense and i wasn’t trying to attack you... i guess it’s harder for me to stomach Bc i seen first hand how Pruitt was handed every single thing he could possibly need to succeed here... much more than Dooley or butch ever had and still managed to screw it up time and time again.

Also, The whole covid excuse that they keep trying to point to is also sickening to me as well because it doesn’t add up. If we had been bad at the first of the year due to missed practices and such but got better fine. But we looked better early and just absolutely fell apart and got worse every week as the season went on. So that just totally shoots that excuse down the drain.
Don't bring logic into this.

Exactly. Keeping Pruitt is doomed to failure regardless of who you bring in for him. If they are too dumb or mule-headed to see this, they deserve the consequences and I want to keep it as cheap as possible.
i won't say it's doomed. is it probable to not go well? yeah.

and they're not going to retain pruitt because they're stubborn. it's far more likely that it's a result of feeling like there's not another good option elsewhere, so they're sticking with the devil they know.

Jordan is still the GOAT but let’s not act like MJ didn’t whine on the court every time something didn’t go his way. lol
Every competitor does that. Lebron acts like he’s been sniped whenever anyone touches him, while Jordan was taking elbows to the face from Detroit. Jordan would avg 40+ with today’s defenses. This argument is dumb. Lebron is more like Pippen than he is Jordan. Pippen would doninate in this era too and he was second fiddle to Jordan.

An excuse to keep him from getting in front of a camera or talking to reporters 🤷🏻‍♂️

I don’t see it happening either. We would somehow have to be prepared for an entire year. That includes the non conference games. History is not on our side here.

So tired of this BS. Chaney doesn't recruit, doesn't coach a position. JFC there is no other active coach in college football getting paid what he is to do less. We need an OC that coaches QB's or another position group and who is a dynamic recruiter. Insane.
I think when Chaney took the job. He looked at it as be here a couple years make money and retire

Heres the problem that we're having. Fulmer does not want to make a coaching change. He's dead set on bringing back Pruitt next year. Several boosters are willing to pay up for a new coach, and Fulmer is the lone voice in the room trying to convince them to wait on Pruitt. We have been inquiring and reaching out quietly to see which coaches would be interested, that's why I said get the flight trackers ready because Its interesting to see who they talk to. Auburn struggling to find a coach helps Fulmer's cause as well.

Another interesting move is if Boyd decides to make move without Fulmer. Pruitt losing half his staff certainly doesn't bode well for him and I think Fulmer knows that. Gonna be an interesting couple of weeks.

That's fair, and it is the piece of information I am missing. If they really have put out back channel feelers to some of the names mentioned around here that seem to be gettable (Freeze, Napier, Chadwell, etc.) and have been told "don't bother," then we are far worse off than most of us imagine. I hope that's not the case, but you can't rule it out.

FWIW, the conventional wisdom I keep seeing from Price and Rucker and the crowd that cover the team is that Fulmer feels he wasn't given enough of a chance to turn things around and that's why he wants to give Pruitt every opportunity, even though as @HankHill has noted, he really already has been given a lot of chances.
