Never said "mass" exodus.

I DO believe a few of those would be staying if we weren't such a shizshow. More will leave as well. They are older guys, guys that can play right away next year as grad transfers.

And if the transfer rule passes next month...might get even worse with a lame duck HC. Jmo though carry on
The only one in the portal that kinda hurts is shrout. Pretty much all the others were expected more or less.

My ideal choice: Bob Stoops
—A Rick Barnes, grown up, proven leader, right the ship hire.

Most Fun choice: Hugh Freeze
—Has beaten Saban, big offense, charismatic/polarizing persona, immediate attention for the program (is there a such thing as bad publicity?)

Who I think the choice will be: Jamey Chadwell
—Tennessee guy, magnetic personality, unique offense, HC experience, has had to scratch and claw for everything, will be the first guy we actually interview / approach who is willing to take the job.

Maybe I didn't ask it right.
There's no solution. All schools will have to work harder to keep their players. Even less reason to nudge guys out...if only to keep a full roster.

Currently we seem to struggle each offseason to cut down to 85. Problem solved I guess.

Definition of good defense is changing. Now it's about stops relative to Offensive output. Limiting teams to FG inside red zone. Making teams sustain drives to score. The days of 3 and outs, shutouts, less than 200 yds of Offense are long gone.
You still have to play relatively consistent good defense to consistently compete against the best.

Here's where I'm starting to doubt he's gone this year. Why would PF mention anything about CJP and spring practice next year in his statement on Sunday accepting the bid to the bowl game? It seemed very out of place but very intentional. Almost like he's putting his foot down. CJP may still get fired but that statement is just sticking out in my mind.
