We're still doing Jake's sarcastic optimism thing?

**Granted, if we go hire Yurcich, UF QBC, etc then maybe there's a slim hope. Still need a top transfer QB too (think Salter likely needs development time). I just don't trust Pruitt comes out of his passed by era in time to save himself. Chaney will run up the middle 60% of the time, throw a few sideline 5 yard outs, and we'll average 24 ppg again.
Chaney will run up the middle 60% of the time, except on 3rd and 1. Then he will do a 40 yard swing pass that will get blown behind the line of scrimmage or be a pick 6.

Kaidon Salter is a dude. Our offense is going to show great growth under HB/Salter. Pruitt will fix the defense. We'll score more points and be more competitive in 2021. We'll go 8-4, but won't get blown out except by Bama next year. The rest will be competitive. Pruitt will show progress and come back in 2022. He'll land the majority of those in state kids. Will compete for the east in 2022.

Please bring back the other Bass.
This one apparently has had a lobotomy.

2020: Made collegiate debut at Wake Forest, completing 2-of-3 passes for 16 yards and rushing once for three yards … completed 8-of-11 passes for 75 yards and rushed three times for seven yards with two touchdowns vs. The Citadel, becoming the first freshman quarterback at Clemson with two rushing touchdowns in a game since Kelly Bryant at Miami in 2015 … rushed twice for five yards and completed a pass vs. Virginia … rushed for 17 yards vs. No. 7 Miami … available but held out as a precaution at Georgia Tech … went 1-for-3 for 11 yards vs. Syracuse … made his first career start vs. Boston College and completed 30-of-41 passes for 342 yards with two passing touchdowns and no interceptions while also rushing six times for 25 yards with a rushing touchdown … led Clemson to the largest comeback in Memorial Stadium history (18 points) in that game, earning ACC Rookie of the Week honors and sharing team offensive player of the game honors … with that performance against Boston College, joined Deshaun Watson and Trevor Lawrence as the only true freshmen in Clemson history to win their starting debuts, and his 342 passing yards were the third-most by a Clemson freshman (true or redshirt) in his starting debut, trailing Watson’s 435 yards against North Carolina in 2014 and Charlie Whitehurst’s 420 yards against Duke in 2002 … earned ACC Rookie of the Week for a second straight week and shared team offensive player of the game honors after completing 29-of-44 passes for a career-high 439 yards with two passing touchdowns at No. 4 Notre Dame while also adding a rushing touchdown … his 439 passing yards at Notre Dame were the third-most in a game in school history and broke the school freshman record of 435, set by Deshaun Watson against North Carolina in 2014 … the 439 passing yards at Notre Dame were also most ever thrown against the Irish by an opposing quarterback, breaking the mark of 425 held by USC’s Carson Palmer in 2002 … completed 7-of-12 passes for 31 yards and a touchdown vs. Pitt … played one snap at Virginia Tech, a handoff to Darien Rencher that resulted in a 50-yard touchdown.

Boy he’s a real dud. They are gonna suck🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Who said he would be a dud? I’m saying if hes not generational QB like Lawrence or Watson. Has a team ever had 3 consecutive 1st round QBs? Oklahoma had 2. Bama will have 2 once Jones is drafted.

Kirby isn’t sendin recruits your posts bass. Relax

Like him a lot, but that shiz is so overrated.

Think of all the recent "hype masters". Kongbo was going to single handedly beat Bama. "50rzns" Savion is gone already never doing a thing. Maurer and Sheriron Jones hopped around and were all excited a lot, what did it do?

Never seen Manning, Brady, Rodgers, Mahomes say more than a few words either. Don't tweet and talk crap. They focus on just being a good ball player, not a talker. I'm not saying it's neccessarily a bad thing, just meaningless.
This program needs a player who has some Baker Mayfield in him.. I don’t disagree that it’s overrated, but we’ve got enough catatonic “ball players”.

SAIP but AP said in the podcast UT needs to sign a minimum of 10 instate guys in the 22’ class and potentially could sign more. Staying the obvious but added UT needs to recruit the state better not just the 22’ class.
So this aligns with the earlier narrative that Pruitt is being told "from above" where he needs to target recruits. This place is so dysfunctional. Can anyone just let those below them do their job?

Also, @bignewt will not be happy 🤣

Agreed. This staff has completely neglected the in state each year and slowed plaed most and couldn’t get back in when they struck out on other targets. Good Tennessee teams usually have decent foundation of in state players.

Freeze, Napier, and Chadwell all have deep Tennessee ties.
Just sayin.

I’m saying everything about him points to him being on the same level. I don’t think anyone at Clemson is worried about the QB situation one bit and they shouldn’t be.

That’s exactly what they said. The foundation of every class needs to be built with instate guys. Then dip into the surrounding states to finish the class off.
