Please stop comparing Pruitt to Majors. It’s a lazy argument that Fulmer tried to sell to the fans.

All losses don’t look the same. Majors teams were competitive while this team was blown out in every loss. Kiffin went 7-6 in year , but the team looked competitive so nobody was disappointed with the season.

It really makes no sense to keep Pruitt and will only set us back, but I guess we are stuck with him because our AD is incompetent. As fans we may have to blindly support the team,but no reason to try justify their incompetent decision making.

Scoring margins are up all over college football. Just look at the playoff games. Not apples to apples

Who knows... Chris Low is saying its pretty much done. I'd go with Chris. Maybe he's reporting because he knows Herman would be in play for us

No clue. But there are plenty of people who can open their checkbooks. And have not.

Agents know where there is mutual interest and which schools have a ticking clock. Most of these coaches people want this year will be available next year.

But if CP has a winning record next year even if its 7-5 they will give him another year cause Fulmer has some love affair going with him.

That would be a monster OC hire. Doubt Pruitt would go that route as many fans would immediately call for him to be HC as soon as we lost a game.

And who knows if Herman would do it. Probably tons of programs that would take him as HC.

Chaney is fine. But I'm not that excited about what we've been trying to do offensively.

Big O line? Couple of good running backs? A couple of good receivers? A qb with an elite arm but issues with reading the entire field?

We would have dusted off the 2007 Crompton playbook if Kiffin were calling plays for us this year.

I can see him improving and doing good here since Texas can be so difficult but he did average 4 losses a season.

Just curious what makes you think "Texas can be so difficult" while you "can see him improving here?"

You think Texas is harder than TN? In schedule? In fan/booster support/expectation? What?

A rule of thumb would be: if you can't excel in a lesser conference, you likely won't even in a harder conference. Is that not logical?

I wouldn't hate it if we fired Pruitt and named Chaney interim HC. Gave him a year to try to win the job. He may not even want it. But is probably more qualified than our current head coach.
