Tuesday: Fulmer and Admin have Steele in place today with no current title assigned to him.

Thursday: Pruitt will have his final meeting with admin.

Friday/Saturday They agree to a negotiated buyout and Pruitt is sent on his way.

Sunday: Steele named interim head coach. Focus's on calming our current and incoming roster down over the phones.

Monday: Students start to report back to school for classes on Wednesday. Team meeting

Beyond that, not sure if this is an active coaching search or Steele is named head coach.

I think this is a logical conclusion to the minimal information we are being fed, but we are always quick to make up timelines on this site. Here is another realistic timeline "nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, spring practice, spring game, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, fall practice, injuries, transfers, losing season, then all of this stuff all over again"

If Steele was angling for the Auburn job, then he will be doing the same here when this job opens up.

I could see them pointing to Sam Pittman being successful as a good reason to roll with a guy like Steele. He wants to be here and has SEC connections. He can recruit and could attract a great staff.

This is what we should probably prepare for. That and full on riots from the fans when it's announced.

Lol on what planet is Doug Marrone a “slightly” better coach than Pruitt? Have you watched our teams play for 3 years?

Do you know what Syracuse was before and after Marrone? They hadn’t had a winning season since 2001. And they have only had two (one the year after he left) since he left.

When he was hired with the bills in 2013 (6-10 his first year).... they had not had a winning season in 10 years and they go 9-7 in his 2nd year.

Takes over a 3-13 team in jax that had not had a winning season in 10 years ....had not won the division in 18 years.... goes 10-6... wins the division... couple plays away from the Super Bowl. Made blake bortles look at times like a franchise QB....
