Our offense was 13th in the SEC last year and we've now lost 6 starters to the portal and others to the draft. No major influx of talent, no change in system.

We're going to be really bad. We could have stopped the bleeding had we fired and hired by now.
I disagree with this. We haven't lost anyone to the portal outside of Wanya who is a difference maker, and Wanya was playing TE to end the year. Not saying he shouldn't stay or that he isn't better than that, but it's true. I also think we have an infusion of talent in the 2021 class on offense. The RB's and Salter are very talented. I'm hoping that we bring in Chadwell who can run an actual offense.

Woof. Bad take.
Chandler's best days seems like they were his first two years here. He seemed like he was lightening in a bottle on a handful of occasions but regressed over time...or maybe that's who he always as and EG made him look worse by comparison.

What I'm curious to see is if he can latch onto an offense that knows how to utilize him in space, where he seemed to shine, and make JP and Chaney look like he was mismanaged in this offense.

That has absolutely no value in evaluating Chandlers role in the team.
Sure it does. Their careers statistically are very similar. The biggest difference is Travis was on some of the best teams UT has had and Chandler was basically the opposite. I dont remember fans thinking it was a good thing when Travis graduated.

Offense:
QB: Bailey
RB: Gray/Evans
WR: Jones, Wideman, Hyatt
TE: Fant
OL: Wright, Spraggins, Mays, Mays, Johnson

Defense:
DL: Solomon, Middleton, Simmons
OLB: Eason, Joseph
ILB: Crouch, Banks (Too if he stays)
DB: Burrell, Taylor, Sham, Tank, Jackson

I’m not sure why we think Pruitt is such a great recruiter. We have no difference makers on defense if Too leaves. Offense has talent, but we run a middle school offense so that is obsolete. And our depth is not good. Again, why are we keeping him?
I'm still holding out hope that we signed some difference makers on defense in that 2020 class. It's too soon to judge them either negatively or positively. They were freshmen who had no offseason. I think guys like Baron, Joseph, Big O, Bailey, Key, and Slaughter have potential

I have no ill will toward him. Hope he does well

I just think new blood under the circumstances is better for most of this roster. It’s why I am not unhappy when any senior leaves

You will get to see plenty of that. Whether its better or not is the question. Im not in the camp that it is until its proven that. Especially over a 4 year career.

As far as I know Shamburger is not a graduate transfer. It's just as likely if not more likely he took his name out because of the NCAA deciding not to grant one time transfers this season.
I think this is correct. Staying at UT is his only chance to play without sitting out another year. It's probably a 50/50 gamble on his part. Pruitt may or may not be here next year.

I would be surprised if we've even reached out to Napier yet. I think that's speculation from VQ based on what everybody has been saying. It does make sense. But who knows what he really wants. VQ doesnt know. Knowing us we won't even try.

He did work with Steele at Clemson. It's possible theres a good relationship there. We have no clue what those Auburn conversations were really like.

He's my first call if I couldn't get support for Freeze.

The way we've handled all this sucks though. Lots of good coaches are likely eliminated as a result.

Any chance ya'll be interested in helping out the family of a friend...

Friend from HS lost her sister 3 months ago, she left behind 2 young boys and a husband...and now they've lost everything in a house fire. Link below in the spoiler if anyone can chip in, I'm sure they'd greatly appreciate it.

Agreed on 4 even 5 years

I think things gets stale after playing 4 years. The ncaa screwed up letting this happen

That kind of tells you where we are. However, that is a gamble for him. It's not a given they are open anytime soon or offer, and he will lose his shine if he has a mediocre year.

Napier wants total control of the program like Saban. If your not gonna do that then he isn't interested.

Will look when I get home from work and see if I can help any.
