Butch didn't lose to Ga State, Byu, go 3-7, lose by double digits in 7 games or lose to KY 34-7 at home. Your point? Pruitt has way more negatives on the field in 3 years than butch had in 5. Thats saying something. 😂

Reminding the origin of where HC Pruitt started, but I think you got the point Big Worm.

1. To a point maybe but I am sure there are nuances to the modern spread that Chaney has no clue about
2. Its been reported that Fulmer spends most of his time in the football building, and gives his advice. Fulmer also said he wants a defensive minded HC when he hired Pruitt. Its also been mentioned that if Pruitt were to be let go, Fulmer wants a run first offense. Maybe Fulmer doesn't point out specific plays, but he definitely picked a coach with a certain philosophy and isn't going to encourage him to change.

Can we please get rid of Fulmer? The game passed him by so damn long ago and he’s still refusing to adapt.

You really are cringey. I’ve watched you battle literally half of the posters here and wondered why until now. Why try to s*** over everyone who disagrees with your moronic view points? Is your life that unfulfilling?
Buddy I have a great life. Sometimes I feel guilty.

Things won't change with the offense unless the guy at the top changes his ideaology. I do think to a point Chaney was handcuffed to JG, but at the end of the day Pruitt is a defensive minded coach and he will never run a wide open offense.

Which is the dumbest damn thing.

As a DC, what’s harder to defend against? Your answer should be what you run offensively. Not a hard concept.

Just wrote a recommendation letter for a friend applying for a job at ETSU.

I really miss east TN. Not being able to get back up there because of the 'Rona is killing me.

All of you who live there now need to take a moment and appreciate it for those who don't live there anymore.

I second this, but will expand to include rural, middle Tennessee. Will always be home.

No idea. I seriously doubt it. Was just told Henry is leaving weeks ago and doubt he would be back. That’s all I was told. VFL Neighbor is a “buddy” to one of the DL and was told by him.
Just seems odd that they wait til now to send 4 people out there. Would be even more odd if they just found out.

Before I get the typical VolNation backlash for people who skim a message, I am NOT recommending this. I am 1) Asking if this has ever happened and 2)Asking if this could work with the right personalities.

What if Pruitt is out as HC...he's fed up, he doesn't want to be head coach anymore. But, he (unlike some of us) see a lot of potential on the defensive side of the ball and wants to finish what he started. Could you see a situation where he steps back to DC (and defensive play caller), Garner comes in as a DL coach, Steele as ILB, and Ansley remains Co-DC and focuses on DBs. Then you hire your CEO head coach like Marrone. Has a HC ever stepped back to a coordinator role the following year? Obviously a pipe dream but what if Pruitt, Ansley, and Steele are going out there to say we will be there next year.

This thought started when the Pruitt to Texas rumors started. I thought...Pruitt's family is settled down in Knoxville at this point and he'd just be going to a DC job with new kids. Why couldn't he stay with kids he recruited? Are egos the only thing that get in the way of that? Looking for a sincere response but expecting I'll be blasted fOR RecCOmEnDiNG CoRNbrEaD poSsIBly sTaY.
A head coach that's making $4M is not gonna give up that position to become a DC at the same school. Have you been eating Colorado gummy bears today?

This may sound confusing at first but bear with me

So in the early 2000’s Alabama was like what we are today, Nick Saban left LSU to go to the NFL then once he didnt workout, Bama hired him. Well what if the same thing happens with us and Urban Meyer? What if we go something like 7-5 this year, something just enough to keep pruitt another season, and then he gets fired in 2022. While at the same time Urban Meyer doesnt succeed in the NFL, and at the end of the 2022 season gets fired from the Jags and it just so happens our job is still open so we hire Meyer, then BOOM we become the next Alabama

There must me something in the water or you've been eating Colorado gummy bears too.
