7-5 is likely, but not worthy of keeping his job. Ole miss will hang 60 on Pruitt. Very easy scheduleSo this is just a mock schedule, im sure i have sent this in here before but obviously the first 3 games are probably accurate. That Pitt game is HUGE. We win it and we likely start out 3-0, then 8-4 is absolutely a realistic expectation. If we beat Pitt then I think we beat Mizzou, Kentucky, USCjr and Vandy, then obviously south alabama and possibly Ole Miss as well, so 9-3 wouldn’t be totally unrealistic. But if we lose to Pitt, then I think we go 5-7 with the other 3 ooc games as wins and then uscjr and Vandy as the only conference wins View attachment 339873
He has yet to beat a team he wasn’t supposed to beat. So there’s no way this scenario happens.Pruitt is doing everything right so far this offseason to make changes on the field. Given the investigation, things have gone decently this offseason besides a couple of key guys transferring. Say we go 8-4 or 9-3 next year and our biggest loss is by 18 points to Bama, would y’all’s opinion on him change at all?
Lol no. He wouldn’t win a national title but he isn’t going .500 with Bama’s roster lol3-7 is NEVER acceptable under any circumstances. But when you look at HOW we lost those games, mismanaged personnel, horrid clock management, lack of in-game adjustments, etc.
What would his (and this staff's) record be with Bama's roster? My opinion is they would be barely .500 with a national championship roster.
And before anyone brings up the 8 game win streak, how many of those teams finished with a winning record?
Beat Florida, Georgia, or Bama. Or get out. It’s year 4Pruitt is doing everything right so far this offseason to make changes on the field. Ugh, landing Hooker and Big Kat, 2 of the best transfers available, and losing nobody of consequence except maybe Wanya, our back up LT, is absolutely nailing the transfer market. And we aren’t finished yetWhat?? We've taken two transfers so far, and lost a hell of a lot more. Sure, most we've lost are inconsequential, but we are not "nailing the transfer market" atm.
Who’s gonna fix the pass defense. I mean he’s a good player but this team has way more issues than just the pass rush.Big kat will remake this defense. Huge get. That is the pressure without bringing people we have been missing. If we can get average qb play and we get a not all sec schedule we could definitely win 8 next year. Regardless of who the coach is.
Is JJ coming back? Would really be nice to have him another year w Wanya leaving
Idk why we are waiting...
Culture will be even worse in a year. We will hear the same come Fall...”well the culture is still a problem” blah blah blah. Then we will fall even further behind. It’s not that hard to figure out what will happen.
Going to be a big told you so moment.
I dont know. Bryant is a big name, but both Johnson and Bennett had more sacks last season. Bryant has 10 in 4 years. Hooker had been replaced at QB by Burmeister. He can run better than JG, but is about the same as a passer. If SEC defenses take away his ability to run, he isn't beating anyone in the air. A lot of the talk when he transferred is he would end up at the G5 level so he could start.Ugh, landing Hooker and Big Kat, 2 of the best transfers available, and losing nobody of consequence except maybe Wanya, our back up LT, is absolutely nailing the transfer market.
