They made the bed. We got no choice but to get comfortable.
That’s the exact line of thinking that keeps this train of mediocrity running hot. Fans feel to make their voice heard they must stop supporting financially and rise up on social media with negativity. There’s really no alternative to fans trying to influence a different mindset.

Pruitt is doing everything right so far this offseason to make changes on the field. Given the investigation, things have gone decently this offseason besides a couple of key guys transferring. Say we go 8-4 or 9-3 next year and our biggest loss is by 18 points to Bama, would y’all’s opinion on him change at all?
If he becomes more of a CEO. If we can line up right on Defense. If we show some imagination and creativity on Offense. And if his assholery levels drop closer to the normal range.

Ugh, landing Hooker and Big Kat, 2 of the best transfers available, and losing nobody of consequence except maybe Wanya, our back up LT, is absolutely nailing the transfer market. And we aren’t finished yet
I like the optimism but this team has along way to go and honestly who trusts Pruitt to turn it around?

Who’s gonna fix the pass defense. I mean he’s a good player but this team has way more issues than just the pass rush.

Our lbs need some serious work in pass coverage. But pressure without blitzing is the best and quickest way to fix a pass defense and big Kat is a big step there

Because the fans doing everything short of a riot last go round has helped us this time?

I agree with that. I should have said that the offense needs much more work then the defense

Big Kat is a good pick up. Not sure where you get that Hooker was one of the best transfers available. I just don't agree with that opinion. And we certainly have lost players that would be contributors to the transfer market.

I’m not meaning to communicate optimism. I’m just pointing out that saying there’s no way he wins 8 is too much imo. He won 8 with JG. He’s making improvements to the roster and coaching staff. He has a long way to go tho to fix this. He better have a full offseason or he has no shot

Just put this to bed already.

Chaney should go. Offense was his and it was predictable / sucked.

Ainsley should go. Defense didn't know how to line up half the time.

I say this because if you keep Pruitt someone should be held accountable for the crap they put on the field this past season.

Think they said on the VQ podcast that Hooker was the 2nd best QB available behind Coan. He struggled last year, but he had a really good 2019 season.

Contributors? I mean, Pope is a contributor, but with his back who knows where he is. DJ is a contributor, so yeah I’d rather he stay, but it isn’t like he’s great. Bennet got kicked off the team. Other than that and Wanya we aren’t losing anyone of consequence

The only Hooker that would help this team win would be the one Freeze could bring.

If Pruitt is back (looks like he is) the fans need to come together and support him and hope after all he’s been through Pruitt has learned from his mistakes.
I support the team. I don't really care who the coach is if we're winning. I always support the team.

Every single one of these is a stretch among stretches. Players at UT are always at their best before they ever have to touch the field.

Hendon Hooker is not a top transfer QB. Try to stay in this reality.

He didn't fire Friend.

Speculation.

A disappointment and a freshman.

Yet another defensive coordinator who hasn't coached a position group in years.

Good post. I do feel he is trying to address clear issues. But Jalen hurts, Justin fields, JT Daniels are top xfer qbs. Not hooker.

I’d like to see a Chaney offense with an experienced qb not named jg. Jg and a true freshman with less than normal prep bc of COVID really handcuffed him. I think his play calling opens up a lot if he’s here this upcoming season

You have automatic losses to UF, UGA, Bama.

Probable losses at Mizzou, Ole Miss

Toss ups at USC, UK, Pitt

Probable wins at Bowling Green, FCS, Andy, South Alabama

IMO, best case scenario is 7-5. In the best world possible under this staff. More likely 4-5 wins

We beat Mizzou by 23 before their QB change. Bama beat them by 19 the week before. Wonder if they expect to lose to Mizzou next year.

Mizzou was blown out by Miss St in the last game of the season. Miss St finished 3-7.
