I think Pruitt has plenty of want to. I think he works very hard. I think he truly cares about the players. I don't think he has the capability to change what has built for three years to show enough improvement next year to make him a viable option going forward.

I remember that being the most badass thing ever. Chuck Connors was legit. Fun fact: dude was like 6’6” and before acting played briefly for the Dodgers, Cubs and Celtics.

I’ve been on the fire Pruitt train hard but @Bassmaster_Vol made a good point this morning. Pruitt won 8 with JG as quarterback. I think JG’s lack of real leadership is part of what poisoned the team this year- on top of poor play. I’m curious to see what a solid offensive scheme could do for us, and perhaps learning to defend a slant.
People forget how much crap Dabo used to get over winning games that matter- IF we do get stuck with Pruitt again we may just as well HOPE for a similar trajectory.

Thats the point. Bring me someone who has PROVED it. Quit trying to serve me a happy meal at Ruth's Chris for a decade and expect me to keep paying the $100+ tab.. its not rocket science. I could come up with a list of at least 10 coaches over the past decade that have far exceeded anything we've done.

Who has proven it on our list of candidates besides maybe freeze and he has a ton of issues too?

I think it was @BruinVol who said it first and I agree - all Pruitt has done through this mess is go to work, put in the effort and try to make the Vols better.

He has that drive. He doesn’t want to fail. He doesn’t want to quit.

These are signs of a winning mentality.

ok....I'm not up to speed on Knox County/Knoxville current guidelines other than to assume they are still just as restrictive as ever....did UTK double down on restrictions from Knox?
what, if anything, has changed with regard to these guidelines that will make it less likely for the cycle to repeat itself again?

We closed campus and didn’t allow players on campus during the off season..... Players on back on campus already..... the contact tracing during the preseason really hurt us...... they are predicting things to be really slowed down by then so hopefully it will be different.
