I'd like to see proof of that first statement because I don't think it's true -unless you're talking about last Spring. I just looked at UTK website - dorms were open this past Fall, but not common areas, and students are being welcomed "back" this Spring (have to have weekly saliva tests, or at least they're strongly encouraged). I think UT football players MAY have been impacted more by differences in how contact tracing was handled here than at some other schools, but not even sure of that.

Let's go back to the 6 game win streak in Season Two. How did that happen? Clue - defense and schedule.

Defense: 21.7 PPG and Top 30 in Year Two. So how did that happen? With the Year Two staff and senior leaders. Add in the schedule was against lesser performing teams. Year Three - 30.1 PPG. A negative difference of 9.4 PPG. Significant decline against a tougher schedule.

Offense: Year three with 3 less games, but two more SEC opponents - 21.5 PPG. Year two - 24.2. Backwards against a tougher schedule WITH THE SAME QB, SAME RB's. SAME O-LINE. Backwards because senior leaders JJ and Quez were gone from the WR's.

Bituli was the D leader in Year Two. With him out they lost to Georgia State. Warrior's light did not come on until the 4th game or so. When it did the D became good against the weaker schedule. Bituli and Warrior moved on. D regressed because there were no quality replacements due to the staff's non-development and dare we mention it - lack of recruiting quality replacements. Which supposedly is Jeremy's strength.

But let's hope for a miracle in 2021.

you left out the part about losing Sherrer, Rumph and Rocker.....replaced LB coaches with Nieds who had never coached LB's, and whoever else that was totally inadequate at coaching and development.

I wonder if TJ Carter was the instate db price had mentioned mths ago as a possible Cb transfer that could be added. Saw he announced to portal this week. It would make sense but not sure if the drama causes pause since I’m sure he will be heavily recruited... too bad we had all the leaked drama by our resident booster posters otherwise we might have already lined up Gilbert, Carter to go with Big Kat and Hooker

Freeze is too much of a threat to Fulmer.

He wouldn’t be able to control Freeze like he does Pruitt.

That’s why it won’t happen unless Fulmer is forced out.

I’m already likely to pull mine after they upheld raises AFTER begging us for money, promising to carve our names on some stupid wall that will never be built, then rolling out the most soul sucking season in a 15 year parade of miserable seasons, and wrapping it up with 2 months that defy all logic and explanation.

It’s the part of the Pruitt Stays narrative that just blows my mind. The costs on the back end of this are going to be astronomical.

You had 80-90% of your season ticket base watch from home last year and learn what that experience is like. Even in all but the greatest years you wouldn’t have 100% of that group come back...I can’t imagine what those numbers will be after this.

You are correct. If you read carefully, the fiscal year ends in June. That is July 1, 2019 till June 30, 2019. Some loss revenue from no basketball tournaments but going to really be bleak with the fiscal year ending in June 2021.

Going to keep getting worse. They deserve it. We don’t.

Guys, my contact has let me know that Pruitt might get fired and might not. Also said we might just keep Pruitt and add a couple more position coaches because a couple have expiring contracts, but we might keep some of those too. Said it was also a fluid situation right now and it could get cold and freeze. Tifwiw
