O'Brien was a college head coach for 2 years. He stabilized Penn State in a tough time. But let's not act like he had this unbelievable run there. He became bowl eligible twice when everybody thought they wouldn't be able win a game. 15-9 record. He didn't stick around long enough to find out if he would win more. Impressive stretch but it was short lived.

He has a terrible NFL reputation. I don't want that guy anywhere near us. Bama is a great place for him. I'm out.

He did not miss a bowl coming off what is likely the worst scandal in sports history.

He won the AFC South 4 times in 7 years, he is a winner.

I do not care about his reputation as an autocrat, that works better in college than the pros anyhow.

He has reportedly already been making contact with Ty Simpson (most likely as OC of Bama). Bring O’Brien and Simpson, and let us ride.

What else do we have as a Vol fan. Either hope that program turns it around some or quit being a fan.
I will be a Vol till I die, but I am not going along with this horse💩 anymore.

Also...I am one of the biggest Bruin haters on VN, and I have always been one of Atls biggest defenders..but..

He is right about this no matter how I feel about his motives..Atl said some crap back in December that really seems to implicate him and his group in this mess...plus the rumors that a lot of this mess is about Washington and Mims recruitment, which he was involved with according to his own words..I hope it is not what I fear it is.

Finally...the same group of morons that got us into this mess to start with, and gave us Kiffin, Dooley and Botch..and then tried to force Schiano on us are now back in the drivers seat and welcomed back with open arms by a lot of people here as saviors...that freakin blows my mind.
We have been played...and are too blind and pissed at Bruin to see it.

If I am wrong...so be it, I hope I am. I am not a contrarion, and I know Pruitt needed to be fired, but it didn't need to happen like this, and it sure didn't need to end up with the HoH back in the drivers seat.

Imma log back out for awhile before everybody hates me for this, I know none of you want to hear it..so...see you folks later 🙋‍♂️

I hope I am dead wrong about all this and have to eat crow for the rest of my life...I really do.

Gilbert is more of a Barnes guy while Ingram is more of a Peyton guy. Right now, Barnes has the image and stability Plowman would like to emulate and he's vouching for Gilbert.

Great to hear that Manning would be in Ingram’s corner. There are reports that Manning is also going to be heavily involved in the coaching search. Could that also apply to the AD search?

Then why isn't he beloved in Houston?
Because he traded a top 5 WR for a washed up running back and has a 2-4 record in the playoffs. He earned GM role and made a couple awful mistakes.

From the talk of JJ Watt it sounds like there is a cultural issue with the work players are willing to put in. They are professionals so it's different than college. If they don't want to do something they get away with it for a year or two and then their pay is effected

Watson is a big part of the problems in Houston, he's throwing a fit because he didn't get to pick the next GM.

Can't do anything about this kinda stuff. Just hope for the best. That's all we can do. Control what you can control.

I do think if there's ever a time to have hope it's right now. Even if they are incompetent, they could still luck into a great hire. A great hire changes everything. We are due man.

Hubbs just said on Podcast upwards of 50! level 1 and 2 violations. We are about to get hammered.
Are level 2s the old “secondary” violations that we used to report by the dozen and never amounted to anything (eg running through a smoke machine on a recruiting visit)? I’m curious about how they are bundling here.
