Most of us want Ingram so of course he wants Gilbert. If we wanted Gilbert he would want Ingram. That’s his entire trolling game. Pick the worst side and argue that side relentlessly with anyone that will pay attention. He’s been doing this for many years. Blows my mind he’s not on everyone’s ignore list.
It blows my mind the amount of emotional energy it takes to argue endlessly with everyone!!! Even light hearted stuff argued relentlessly would wear a normal person out.

Sadly, UT ALWAYS makes the wrong decisions in regards to football. So being contrarian means you're gonna hit on most of your takes if you wait long enough. Doesn't make it any less annoying, though.

To be completely fair, the prior AD at ECU (Compher) was pretty bad and is why ECU went so far down hill. Compher isn’t even an AD anywhere anymore, last I read he started working for some Chicago firm. I still think Ingram is the better choice for our AD spot.

Bruin has notably bad takes. The very fact he supports Gilbert pushes me even more in the Ingram direction, and that's where I was to begin with. No one here should want to revisit Tyndall or that whole Lady Vol catastrophe.

Wtf are you talking about ?

I firmly in the Ingram camp. I want Ingram over gilbert

is that easy enough for you to read ?

Not just Oklahoma he's had to contend with recruiting-wise. TAMU has that SEC draw for Texas recruits, not to mention several other good programs in state.
Yeah he has more schools to contend with than in the past for recruits but its not like he hasnt found enough.
His last 3 classes were #8, #3, and #3.

His problem was losing games to schools recruiting in the 40's and 50's.

You know I respect those that ignore me and don’t post about it

This a pathetic post from a guy that doesn’t even read my post but then post about what I said.

and guess what?

I didn’t say it!!!!

I am not for Gilbert!

I want Ingram!

Accurate in its entirety

Peyton won’t go after Lane. If he has a say in this, as many media have alluded to, you really think he’s gonna poach Kiffin from Ole Miss and the rest of his family? Not a chance. We’d all be better off to accept that fact now.

Lane back to UT, Freeze back to OM.

Probably not likely, but while we Steele have hope...

If Steele is ultimately the guy then I will initially be underwhelmed with the hire because I think this job needs someone with significant head coaching experience at Power 5 conference, but I would reserve judgment until I saw what staff he hired; especially on the offensive side of the ball.

His record at Baylor was 20 years ago and done with both hands tied behind his back and blindfolded from an institutional perspective because Baylor just didn't care about winning. If he doesn't take that job 20 years ago I'd imagine he would be a much better looking candidate.

And he is older and seemingly calmer than Pruitt; someone coaches would want to work for, players want to play for and fans can embrace. He doesn't strike me as a hot head who will shoot first and ask questions later.
If Steele is the hire I fully suspect we will suck forever. Not even an all-star staff hire will convince me otherwise. The only thing that would sway me is is results on the field and I don't see that happening. I'll always cheer for my Vols, but I might actually have to find other ways to spend my time because I can't continue to kill myself getting upset by all the suck UT has given us.
