Being a guru of all the cool places I just thought you would have been there many times.

we are. but for large events, bbq is easy. so sometimes willing to travel. honestly i'm not a huge bbq fan.

It's like we are going to Friday night mixers at the community center when our room mate, who happens to be a solid 9, tells us every day that she is interested.

Washington is a guy who is looking to move up and make a name for himself. He'll recruit hard, and coach aggressively.

It may end up being a mistake, but I like that we're making the mistake going 100 MPH instead of slow and plodding.

Al Washington is 36 years old. Sal Sunseri was not, had only been a DC for a brief period at two small schools, and hasn’t been close since. While it’s not guaranteed to work, it’s not the same.

I Remember Sunseri tried to implement the the 3-4 defensive immediately without having the right players to play it.

It looks like people would understand just how bad corrupt refs can make you look after the last two games.

If it is Washington, I like the hire. He’s got big upside and a strong recruiter, but this isn’t Clawson or Sunseri who is a last ditch effort to save someone’s job. If it doesn’t work for a year or two then Heupel will hire the next guy and might go with more experience.

Let’s hope he catches lightning in a bottle!

Not sure why Washington would leave OSU, bet they offer him a co DC position to get him to stay.

If he does come that's a big recruiting piece of the staff, would make me feel better about the Heupel era. Especially if they can get him play calling help.

Unless they match or come close, he’s probably got 300-400,000 more reasons to come.

Kerry Coombs (OSU’s current DC) has never called defensive plays either from what I can tell before this year, but he did pretty damn good. He was co-DC with Hafley in 2017, but doesn’t look like he called plays.
