This is almost certainly bad for Tennessee football and our road back to relevance.

But on the other hand, the influx of cash will help with Neyland renovations and the LNS expansion.

We're soon on the way to ending our "football school" status.

It works best for those that have disc problems. It stretches everything back out so things that are compressed our pinching get pulled back out. I used to have really bad lower back problems and since I have started using the table they have almost totally disappeared. If you start to feel a twinge you use it or just once a week or so for maintenance.
Same here, every time I feel that it’s going to act up I get on mine. It works

I can understand why some of you would be upset about the addition of OU and Texas. If I believed Tennessee could get back to national relevancy in football, then I would be angry too. However, the past 5 years have broken me beyond repair. I am of the opinion that Tennessee's ceiling in football is making an SEC championship game. Therefore, I am excited about the addition of two good football programs to our conference. Hell, maybe we can upset them every now and then. I understand if people do not share the same opinion as me and I am up for discussing my point-of-view.

If Bama and Auburn move to the East, we will never see any type of championship again in football.

Imagine playing Bama, UGA, FL, Auburn, etc. every year, then potentially add one or two of OU,Texas, LSU, A&M on the schedule as our West opp.
I get your point Redd.. But I will say, if we are going to have to play Saban every year anyway then I want Georgia, Florida and everyone else in the east paying them too. I'm all about a balanced schedule.

I'd make a strong recommendation for everyone to listen to the latest Late Kick with Josh Pate podcast. I've put the YouTube link below, but it's available in podcast form as well. Really all you need is the first 20 minutes. I think he gives the best explanation of why this is happening, what is going to happen, and why he thinks it will ultimately be harmful to the sport we love. He is an SEC guy, but also a college football traditionalist. He says, essentially, that the pretense of amateurism is what has been keeping the sport together for the last 100+ years, and allowing the smaller players to remain on even footing with the blue bloods in these regional conferences (in the sense that they get to share in the revenue and be a part of the same conference). Now, with the NCAA off to the sidelines, the sport is going to start responding to market forces even more than it has before. There is only so much TV money out there, and you either go big or go home. The SEC is responding to this, and looking to become to college football what Amazon is to online shopping or Apple is to the smartphone industry. Texas and OU see this coming, and want to get on board. He says it may only accelerate from here, and eventually you may end up with CFB's versions of the NFC and the AFC. He doesn't think that there are enough big brands to support 3 super conferences, much less 4. He doesn't like it, neither do I, but I have a hard time saying that he's wrong. I guess the good news is that we'll be one of those brands that make the cut, but say a prayer if you are Texas Tech, or Kansas State, or Baylor.

He’s right. CFB, as we’ve known it, is dead. For better or for worse. Likely for the worse.

Look where we are, and we haven’t won anything in 15 years!

Don’t tell me we can’t or won’t be good again

Bass you’ve flipped like four times over the last 36 hours as to whether we will eventually be back or if the TX/OU news puts us in eternal mediocrity. Take a breath! 😂

Watching Packer and Durham now on the ACC Network. The ACC commissioner, Jim Phillips, on potential ACC expansion, “Never say never.”

Who would the ACC want? Would they potential recruit Tennessee?

If your the SEC you have to take TX and OK. If they are dead set in leaving you either take them or let another conference get stronger. Chris Low said today that he doubt it stops at TX/OK. That he thinks this could lead to a mega power 5 conference. He said he thinks you could see all the big boys get together

Good! We are "strong" enough as is. Let them go to the B1G and battle OSU! We have enough juggernauts. Gtfo TX/OU. Don't wantchya

I'm not so sure that our alum will be trying to outbid everyone else for high-school players. I think we end up with the Oakland A's card counter approach and finding guys who fit the system.

All Betas that want to jump ship to the ACC. Just clip your nuts and go be a fan of someone else. We will be back to being a top tier SEC team in the near future.

If Texas played in the SEC these past 8-10 years they wouldn't have even been ranked a majority of the time and OK would rarely have made it to the playoffs. This will be a a shock to the system for both teams if they think they are gona come in here and win consistently right away.

I’m not flipping. It’s just that adding them makes the road longer and more difficult. It’s also stupid and makes no sense except for greedy elites looking to make even more money.

if Coach Huepel can get Milton to slow down his game a little bit allowing plays to develop…. That kid could be special. I rewatched some of his game films (not just highlights) and that Michigan Offensive Line was like Swiss cheese.

Milton was having to either 1 run for his life or two get the ball out extremely fast. If our OL gives Milton time…. That dude can be dangerous. The velocity he has on the Ball is absolutely insane and he can throw it a Mile…..
I read UM had lost its entire OL from 2019. And yet people want to judge his lack of success behind that OL...and with QB coaching from Hahabaugh.

I'm hanging my hat on the idea that a conference realignment means one or both of UGA / UF is getting bumped from our annual schedule. ultimately, i don't care. CFB goes through these seismic shifts (first SEC shake up in the 60s, BCS bowl system, playoffs, NIL, on and on) and eventually things feel normal again. it'll happen here, whether or not UT / OU end up in the SEC. I just want to watch some football come September.
