Prayers for the kid, and, she is a kid. All of them are. If it were my daughter id be heartbroken.
She's 24 she's not a kid. I hate it when people call 20+ year olds kids. They have enough life experience to be called adults. Calling them kids is a cop out imo. Although, if they are your child then you can call them kid as long as you want

She's young and she's been through hell. Try imagining your doctor molesting you.

Don't get on the stage if you are not going to perform. Leave the job to somebody who is willing to do it. Simone knew her mental state long before she did the trials one month ago that led to her qualifying for the team. She did all the promotional stuff leading up to it including her little goat. She could have withdrawn prior to or even before going to Japan.

She's human. We all do human things. But do not deny she quit on her team and in reality, also, quit on herself. From that decision she will need even more help and might want to step back from the self promotion and limelight to get herself together. There is far more to life than gymnastics.

Yeah, they can be thrown into literal battle on the front lines with death all around them, but they are kids? Ok...

Yeah, she's still a kid to me. Kid or no, doesn't lessen personal pain.

This pandemic, and all the accompanying cast net of junk associated has been ok for some. Heck, for others, even the strongest of extroverted, happiest people has been hell. We all know a tragedy.

Did you see Michael Phelps advocating last night? It's so easy to sit back in a chair and judge. Why can we not empathize?

Mental health is not a joke, its very real. For a lot of people. We've known four very close family friends just in last year.

🤦🏼‍♂️Unreal.

I have to completely disagree with Shaw, and not just because I hate Alabama : ). If the teams were directly bidding on players and giving the players a share of gate, TV, and merchandise revenue based on potential / performance that would be fair market value.

In that scenario Bryce Young would be worth a lot more than just his NIL deal. He's still making peanuts compared to NFL rookie draft picks (who also haven't started a game).

Yeah, his NIL is worth more because he's going to Alabama than if he's going to some directional university but what is Alabama football worth without players? The schools are getting way more value out of the players than the players are getting out of the school's branding through their NIL deal.

Saw my first Simone Biles article that pissed me off. The author straight up said Biles was only catching heat because she's black, and then went on to speak of the struggles of "strong black women". Why does someone always feel the need to make it a race issue? How do they not see they are peddling hate and division? It angers me that a humanizing moment that should draw us together would be used to push us further apart.
My girlfriend and I got in a fight over Biles lol. She was on her side. My point was that if Shohei Ohtani or Jacob DeGromme dropped out of a start at the World Series because their “head isn’t in it” then they would be chastised to the the end of the earth. Simone Biles is getting off easy.

You mean if they go pitch two terrible innings and pull themselves off the mound because they know they ain't got the stuff that day and their team has a better chance to win with them in the dugout?

That happens all the time in baseball. Happened multiple times during the CWS.

Is it bad that I hope he is getting all that money and then just completely craps the bed?

They'd be criticized if they played like crap as well. Only they're not doing flips and tumbles that could seriously injure them.

Totally different thing. Lol 😂 can’t even compare the two.

In college they don’t get heat as much. When that happens in the majors, especially in a World Series.. it’s a talking point for days

how did you do with the altitude?

They were a factor. But not the most difficult variable. That hike there (Lake of the Crags). Is not on the park systems map (evidently for a reason lol ☠️). We had to climb 3k feet in a few hours to summit and that was hard because it was so instant. And literal climbing/bouldering.

You're right, because if Biles had kept competing they could've lost a medal and/or she could have seriously injured herself, whereas if a pitcher keeps throwing a bad game they'll just lose a game. It's been stated multiple times that it's likely they medaled BECAUSE she stepped away. She was one disaster away from everyone losing.

Now this is good common sense and that is why and where I am at. All these jerks screaming thst 8-4 or 9-3 is the expectation are setting up JH for failure. He will not make them happy and it will spiral down even farther.

Those folks still believe super coach is waiting by the phone just hoping someone calls him about that Tennessee job…
