Other tiddy bits

As I’ve said since the day Milton transferred here, he will be the guy unless he poops his pants on Tuesday and I don’t see that. He’s been the best QB this summer and camp. It’s really not been that close from what I’ve heard. It has been a legit competition though.

Don't know if Tremblay will start but he'll play a lot even if he doesn't. And he might start. Versatile, blue-collar guy from what I can gather.
- P Brown

There will be a rotation on the DL. Several will play. If healthy, Bumphus may get the nod over Tremblay. That’s just who they had start the scrimmage. Solomon looks good and will play a ton. WR, RB and DL are some positions I wouldn’t get too caught up in who starts. Those position groups rotate a lot.

If he is the second coming it shouldn't matter that much...but I hope I'm wrong and the dude goes supernova...

It sounds like he's won the starting job over guys who went through spring camp. I'm not sure what more he can do. You know there is a middle ground here, where he can be better than the other guys on campus, but not necessarily Cam Newton II.

Do you not trust Heupel to select the right guy and develop him?

Bray seemed like he could sling it with the flip of his wrist. Only if he had it between the ears.
Bray has been in the league like 8 years. I think it's safe to say he isn't an idiot.

I just don't think he worked very hard while he was here and I don't think Dooley tried to make him.

This is pretty random, but did we ever find out why Danny O’Brien got kicked off the team years ago? That dude was fun to watch. I never heard why he was dismissed

This.

I'm already feeling like some are pumping up the comments. The first game he struggles in, people will start saying "but I thought he was Cam! Or Peyton! That's what they all said! They lied!". I fully agree there is a middle ground. Heck, the SEC can make it rough on even very good QBs. There will be bumps along the way, no doubt, and he won't be perfect.

It has been written, sir….

Too many failed drug tests, so the story went. 3...it was reported.

Always thought it was odd that it happened right after he had a concussion and had to be carted off vs TAMU.

Either way, seemed like a shizzy time to cut a guy for a silly reason.

That offense Bray played in was ineffective vs good teams until the 4th quarter when it was already a blowout game. Yeah our defense was bad but that offense wasn’t good either

The whole world is turned up to 11. Nuance is extinct.

Not to speculate, but I have a hard time believing he got kicked out for a failed weed test or two

Strangely, not as much hope for this season. More contentment. The SEC is a hard row. If the Vols are scoring points anything can happen. It's the path to wins the Vols have right now. Looking back on that team that beat Georgia with the hail Mary there was a lot of offensive talent: Dobbs, Jenkins, Kamara, Hurd. Hope we can look back at this 2021 team one day and say "yeah, that team had some talent and played like it."
