Like it? No. I didn’t know. My position was that he can coach offense and QB’s and if he nailed the DC hire it could work out. He was a total unknown for me.

I had no clue about Heupel.
Not being on VN, there was no rumors or hype about a fantasy coach.

Was glad I'd at least heard the name. I was sure with everything going on that we'd hire Derek's 3rd cousin - Drooly Dooley. The part time linebacker coach, full time janitor, or something.
