Hot Take: Outside of two unbelievably good coaching talents (Spurrier and Meyer) Florida is mediocre and I present Ron Zook, Will Muschamp and Dan Mullen as evidence.

I think it's the other way around. Mushcamp took them to 11-2 and Mullen 3 NY6 bowl appearances. McElwain won the east twice. All 3 mediocre coaches found a lot of success at UF. It's not a hard job.

I don’t think this is far off. They had two of the greatest to ever do it for all but 3 years between 1990-2010. They are unbelievably spoiled for a historically mediocre program. Drives me crazy that we’ve never found a coach who could take advantage of that.

If we beat them the times we should have between 2014 and now; they would appear even more obviously mediocre. We're largely responsible for them remaining relevant. That SUCKS!!

But each of those coaches has gotten worse the further you get away from Spurrier or Meyer....Muschamp recruited well, but couldn't coach worth a damn and is the reason for Mullen's success.

Quick Poll: How many points do we score versus UGA? I don't know which way to lean, few, or many...

Keep in mind though that FSU and Miami have been big booty butthole during most of that time.

If either of those starts to rebound - UF is a harder job.

It would be impossible not to, IMO
just went and looked, they have allowed 60 points all year. If we get half that we have a good chance to win. 21 of their 34 points came as a result of turnovers. Not all by the defense but they set up a nice short field. But I say let's get past this boat race at Kroger then take care of business in Neyland.

Is TCU even that much better job of a job than SMU? I'd personally rather stay at SMU, or hope for the Tech job.
TCU’s better than either of those. Big 12 is down but still P5 compared to that pickup league SMU toils in and TTU is in BFE. That and residual bad vibes from how Spike Dykes tenure ended reduces their chances imo.
